Question about Siemens Washing Machines
I have a siemens WDI 1440 and whilst drying my washing it suddenly stopped and started flashing E06 across the screen. I am unable to open the door and no other programmes work. The countdown timer does however work but as soon as it gets near to the end of the cycle it stops and shows E06 again. The machine doesn't spin either.
It did however wash the clothing perfectly but as it neared the end of the cycle it made a very loud whirring sound but did not cut out.
Is the machine completely broken?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

occurs due to belt slippage. I would check your belts (look for cracks.
Check the belt tension as well, most washers have an adjustment,
normally on the motor that allows you to increase the tension of the
If part of a belt gets torn and it is long enough, it will hit any part of the washing machine within range and make a clicking noise at every revolution of the motor.
I am pretty sure you need new belts. You should be able to remove a few screws and open the back cover. Between the pulleys there is a tensioner...loosen that so you can remove the belt easily. replace it with a new belt and adjust the tension.
hope this helps

Just been through this with our Bosch Maxx, problem was the pump discharge pipe was blocked with soap deposits. I also removed the large black rubber pipe from the drum/pump and cleaned this out as well.
All working fine now.

SOURCE: Washing Machine Door won't open
I had the same problem. I went through all the steps on this thread to no avail. Finaly I just pryed the thing open - with no damage, thank goodness.
Once open I saw that the latch in the door didn't move when I pulled the handle. The problem it seems was in the latch on the door itself. If you end up this problem and want to get wet clothes out, just stick a flat-head screwdriver, behind the door latch into the horseshoe-shaped metal bit and lever it open - no prying necessary.
Not sure how I'm going to fix this permantely but at least I got my wet clothes out and can do laundry as long as I keep the screwdriver near by.
To fix - I'll either need to figure out how to disassemble the door and replace the latch mechanism, or just buy a whole new door.
