Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
Sorry about the problem.
I will try as much as possible to give you a detailed steps you can try.
Put on your Computer,
While it is booting, Keep tapping the F8 Key, and this will bring up the Menu where you will have to select the different options of booting.
Select safe mode.
If it boots in Safe Mode, then click on start---> Accesories--->System tools---> then System restore. Then restore you system to an earlier time.
Now, If that still doesn't work, then Select Safe mode Command prompt.
When you get to command prompt, type: chkdsk or chkdsk /f and press enter.
This will scan your system for errors and correct it.
If this still does not work,
Get a Windows Installations CD.
Insert it into your CDROM Drive, then when you put on your system,
Go into the system BIOS/Setup by pressing 'Del' key or any other key (e.g F10) required to enter setup, while the system is booting.
Now look for where you have Boot Sequence or Boot Order.
Select the CDROM to be the one where the system will boot from.
After selecting it, select save and exit.
Your system will then automatically reboot or restart.
Next follow the On-Screen instruction closely and press any key to boot from CD when you are prompted to do so.
Then follow the on-screen instruction again after it has finished loading the necessary drivers from the CD.
It will give you different options like Repair, Restore, Fully Restore to Factory settings e.t.c.
Just pick your choice, and repair it.
Meanwhile, PLEASE be VERY careful while you are doing this so that you do not format your system TOTALLY and lose everything on it.
Unless of course you have backed up your system first and you have ALL the necessary drivers.
Hope this helps you out.
Kindly keep me posted and let me know how it goes.
Thank you for using FixYa.
