It may help if you change your channel on the router as it may be getting on overlapping signal from your neighbours.

Laptop wireless card problem. I bought a used computer. I've never had a laptop with a wireless card. It worked fine. Two lights blinked on the card. All of the sudden i couldn't get the internet....

If you do not have a wireless router which is connected to your Internet servce provider and now your laptop does not connect to the Internet then, you could have connected to your neighbour's Internet connection.
The reason why you cannot now get Internet access is, this neighbour has discovered unauthorized access to their unprotected wireless connection and has taken security steps to prevent further unauthorized access.

If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then - To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router and access the Internet via the DSL or cable modem.

I have problems WLAN on my DIR-855

You might have a lot of neighbours using wifi, you get interference. Download "Inssider" and scan your area, usually this type of problem means several people on the same channel of wifi. to change your channel, log into your router (type or into internet explorer. then change the channel settings.

D-Link DIR-628 wireless connection flickering

You are getting some kind of elecrical/wireless interference. This is difficult to trace. Have you noticed any electrical interference on the TV screen when the wireless connections drops off?
It could be as simple as someone using an arc welder in your area.
Or a neighbour heating up something in their microwave oven (this oven can be faulty and is leaking microwave energy).
If you can identify the source of interference then you may find a solution.
There are a few things you can try.
Get a surge protection power board and connect your computer equipment and wireless router to this power board.
You can configure the wireless router to a different channel, one that is not used by your neighbours so that the wireless signal won't interfer with each other.
Have a look at the signal strength to your computer, if it is weak then move the router away from walls and/or raise the router to a higher location to improve the signal strength.
I hope this info helps you fix your problems.

These things are so delicate, if they are physically broken, they are basically unrepairable. You may have to buy new ones.

You may have only 1 wireless device at your home BUT your wireless computer may be picking up another wireless signal that is near you and broadcasting. If this is the case make your wireless device the default connection. BPCS
