Acer product usually has its own drivers for the integration of hard drives to the device matherboardnya maybe you have not installed it or you make a mistake at the time of initial windows Installation you because at the time of initial installation disk driver must be installed in order to form a stable installation on acer product.good luck

Go to Control Panel - Sounds and audio devices - Sounds tab - on Program events scroll to New Mail Notifications and click on it - click on the arrow from the right of the Sounds box - select a tone (click on the play button to hear it - save the Sound scheme with a name of your choice - apply - ok.

I can't move the cursor

maybe it got turned off...use the windows key and then the arrows to go to control panel and check and see it the pad got turned off

The adapter plug that goes into the laptop is wearing out,loose an not making a good contact. Acer aspire 3000.Now I have the 342A already,can the 4.74 battery work ok or not.Will this ruin the laptop...

u have to make replace ur charging pin in ur laptop...because hardware's can't repaired by service people.....i know hardware is not changed if broken but u can show them compatibility prob. then they will make it replace....take care

The screen on my Acer Aspire 3000 has become really dark and I can't adjust the brightness as the function and arrow keys have stopped working. :S Any ideas appreciated! :)

More than likely your back light is burnt out or the inverter is bad, if you hear a high pitched whine it is the inverter and you can order a replacement online.
