SOURCE: Admiral Side by Side Fridge is warm at top, cold at bottom
CHECK TO SEE IF THE EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR IS RUNNING, ITS IN THE BACK OF THE FREEZER SIDE, MOTOR MAY BE BAD OR SOMETHING COULD BE BLOCKING IT...
SOURCE: Have a 2 year old SAMSUNG RS2545SH Side by Side
Control board has gone bad....
What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.
To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

in the freezer section there is a 6 screws. unscrew them and remove the back panel. there will be 2 wires attached to the panels, remember where they go. you will see a metal evaporator which will be filled with ice. this is the problem. use a hairdryer to melt the ice. this is essential as you mustn't puncture the wall of the fridge with any sharp item. before replacing the panel ensure that everything is dry or ice will reform, and also ensure that the fan blades are turning properly or cold air will not be blown into the fridge.
SOURCE: frigde wont get cold but freezer does.
I am an authorized Samsung service center, and I have dealt with this
ongoing design problem for years. The problem occurs when the unit
comes out of the defrost cycle, not all of the frost has been removed
by the defrost element and an ice bridge occurs at the top and bottom
evaporator coil. There are sensors that send readings back to the main
PCB during and after this cycle, They have to be replaced along with
adding heat transfer clips for better frost meltage and air
circulation.
