Question about GE JBP68 CleanDesign Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Hi. Stupid question for you, but I just can't find my manual! The model # of my GE self cleaning range is GRCR3630ZWW-2 if this helps. I need to clean my range today and how exactly do I do that using the clean button on the stove? Do you have the answer, as I don't have the manual? It's been a long while since I've done this and I'm selling my house with the appliances, so I want it to be sparkling clean. Thank you so much for your assistance with finding the answer.

Hi, check this web page, which is a PDF file of GE oven manuals. It appears that you have to close a latch on the door to start the self cleaning.

Hope this helps!

It sounds like it is broken. You can bypass it by connecting the 2 wires together. This should be fine until you replace it. They aren't that expensive.

Self Cleaning - how???

If the model number is correct, the self-cleaning instructions are on pages 25 and 26 of the owner's manual. If you do not have an owner's manual, you can obtain a FREE copy at managemylife.com. Just enter your model number under the "Manuals" link, and you will fine various manuals listed in .pdf (Adobe) format. For your convenience, here is a direct link:

How long is the typical self cleaning cycle for a GE electric oven?

Hi,

Factory default self cleans vary for manufacturer, even from model to model, but typically 3 to 4 hours. They can however, be set to as little as 2 hours depending on the make and model.

Hope that answered your question. Thank`s for visiting "fixya" today. Let me know if I can assist you further.

regard`s,

It says it my manual that the oven won't unlatch until it has cooled down enough. At this point the red light(s) is supposed to flash.
