I have a samsung rear projection tele. I havent used it for 12 months, i have just plugged it back in and the red standby light comes on at the front of the tele. When I press the power button on the...

means B+ over current protection shutdown. Problem in power supply.
However since it was not used for 12 months
the problem could be that the fan that cools the bulb is not starting when you turn the tv on. Blow on it to get it going or clean with compressed air. The fan could be clogged up with lint etc. It's on the rear left of the tv.

My lg tele wont turn on. when the tele is plugged into the wall the right light flickers when goes off and it wont switch on

Check and replace any swollen capacitors on the power board. This would be the fordt thing to look for. If that doesn't fix it then get back to me.

I have phillips flat tv 42pf7520d and can not switch from dtv to analogue, button not working but tele registing it as lights up, no picture through the dtv and sky wont even override the tele

This is a commong fault on that model, you will either have to have the mainboard re-programmed, or replaced.

It has lost it's "memory" as it were.
