Re: samsung 46inch rear pro
Hi..not sure where you are but where I live it cost $250.00 to repair the DMD (Digital Mirror Display) board or $970.00 to replace it. I would check at the store you purchased your TV at or even look in the yellow pages.

Buy a new DMD Chip and replace it yourself only cost you $159 which save at least $100 to ask a repairing center to do it for you. Check the video how to do this. Source: DMD Chip replacement tips And your DMD chip should looks like
There seems to be an issue with your DMD board, which is the on in charge of the pixelation. What you can do to confirm if it's indeed the DMD board, is the following:
GO to the menu on the TV and if the dots show in the menu, it's your DMD board, but if they don't the issue might be with one of your Video Boards.
Those white spots are most probably to be the DMD board, I'm not sure Samsung will fix it for free, you will need to call them and ask. The board is not that expensive. on the other hand, the installation will need to be done by a technician since it's a board and you want to be very careful with the boards that are around it.
Most likely the DMD board is at fault. If the DMD board is failing it will hold the data lines in the set down which will cause it to stay on until you unplug it. The part number for the DMD board is BP96-00249A but I suggest you have a technician verify the issue and replace the board as it requires mechanical alignment after wards. The random whit dots you are seeing is more than not the DMD or million little mirrors board. The white spots represent some of the mirrors that are sticking in the on position. In that case they are always reflecting white light from the lamp. I don't concider the DMD board a do it yourself repair since on the older DLP set it requires mechanical alignment as well. The best thing to do is contact a techincian and see what they might charge to repair the TV for you. Please take a few moments to rate my answer...Thanks..
The white dots/stars you are seeing is a failing DMD board. It is the board with the million little mirrors on it. The white dots are mirrors stuck in the on position always reflecting the white light from the lamp. The DMD board is a technician replaceable item and part number varies by model code. Please contact a local servicer to have them look at your TV so they can order the right part number for your DMD board. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks....
I had the same problem with my SamsungDLP tv a couple of weeks ago. I had to clean the lenses, mirrors and the DMD sensor to fix it, you must remove the rear cover to do this. If the mirrors and lenses were cleaned but the spots were still there, the final thing to do is to clean the sensor chip on the DMD board. It is located under the heat sink behind the small fan in the lower center of the rear of the TV. The DMD board will have to be removed to get to the back of the sensor. All you have to do is blow some dry canned air across it to remove the dust, do not wipe it with anything. The repair is somewhat complicated and you will probably have to realign the picture by adjusting the position of the DMD board when finished.
The negative image on the screen is the DMD board (Digital Mirror Board). The cycle sound is the color wheel trying to spin but if the DMD board is going bad, it will effect the color wheel and not spin. There for your image will freeze.
