My singer futura ce 200 just quit working. I was using it and had turned it off, a minute later, turned it back on to continue working, and it would not come on, like it isnt plugged into outlet at all! I have no idea what is wrong. Tried different plug with same results.

The Futura should run any format program but its dedicated program type is XXX so if you have that option I would use that one.

There is a patch for Windows 7 at www.future-support.com. That site is an amazing resource for the Futuras!!

Have to spoken with Singer? They have a section dedicated to Futura at their Singer Company website.

If you are using Futura 2.0.0.x software there is no update yet, but Windows 7 support has been already included into update for Futura 2.5.0.x. You may ask a closest Singer supplier about it.

It's printed on the back cover on the cd case.If its for the futura base software, there is not one.

Sorry to say but it sounds to me that you need to take your machine in to be checked.

Maybe you should try to contact singer south africa and ask them whats wrong, my laptop did the excact same thing switch over to home pc and no problem ever again.

Wow, I finally get to have a solution.
1. Turn the machine off.
2. Remove the hoop.
3. CAREFULLY slide the bar on the embroidery unit to the left.
4. CAREFULLY slide the piece where the hoop attaches toward you.
5. Turn on the sewing machine. The machine should take the unit to "standby" with a click.
6. Attach the hoop with the power on.
7. Exit the Futura software.
8. Restart the software.
This "should" fix the problem, however, you may have to repeat this process more than once to get it to "stick".

Bit out of my league can I suggest you talk to a computer expert.
My limited knowledge tells me while trying to update, your previous software package has been corrupted.

In embroidery mode, you have to send a design to the machine before the bobbin winder will work.
