Hello to all, I have a tv zenith model C27V36, and it has a problem I connect it in the series and it does not turn on and I connect it to the network(net) and immediately burns (damages) the horizontal exit that is a trasistor C5905 and it burns (damages) both resistances of the protection,I changed the trasistor C5905 for a trasistor C3997 that is 20 amps and nonetheless it burns it,there are no signs of short circuits. Could the problem be the high horizontal ocsilacion?? But since turning it on it burns(damages) the horizontal exit I do not have way of checking it, because it is automatically damaged . can someone please tell me what to do in this case??? Or where I can find an electronic diagram or a sketch??? Or can someone who has worked on this TV before h help me out?? It is a zenith model C27V36 of 27 ".. thank you for you help.

Bad fly-back transformer or perhaps a shorted deflection yoke. That's the best guess I have for you without having the TV in front of me.

This set has the ATSC tuner required for the new over-air standard. No converter is needed.

Zenith 27" HDTV second antenna input not accessible on TV/remote

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Pls verify if your particular model/versions has a PIP feature. To my understanding, the 2nd Antenna/Cable IN goes to a 2nd tuner that is primarily used for the PIP (picture in picture) mode. This mode would allow you to watch simultaneously 2 different TV channels.

Pls post back. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Screen has green corner at first and may changeto pinks and green

It sounds like the De-gauss circuit isnt working. It demagnetizes the TV tube.

It's something only a tech can fix though.

If this set uses a picture tube then your problem may be in the vertical deflection circuit. Also an unstable power supply will cause this problem. Stargazer

TV changes channel changed before all numbers entered in remote

Possibly you're not putting the numbers in fast enough. If you are then there maybe a problem with the microprocessor responding too quickly to commands. I've never seen this problem before, but my TV will do the same thing if I don't get the numbers in fast enough. Stargazer
