Question about SharpVision XV-DW100U Multimedia Projector

Sync issues with Direct TV HD recievers

I can only interconnect my Sharp vision projector using RGB connections and the resolution that I can recieve is only 480 P. Anything above that does not sync and the picture flashes in and out. All the new HD recievers use HDMI and this projector only has VGA, RGB or five line interconnectivity. Is it new projector time or is there something I can do to make this projector work with native formats of 720P or 1080I?

Hp sb21 out of sync

Are you simply feeding the projector with a video signal outside the range the projector can accept? For instance, trying to feed HD video to a projector that is not capable of high resolution can produce an out of sync image - or nothing at all.

I assume you've tried using a different video cable to connect to the projector, just in case there is a broken core in the original one that carried the sync signal?

Sharp Notevision PG-C30XE problem with computer display

There are 3 different types of analog video signal ports on your projector; s-video, composite video, and RGB. Which one of the three are you using to connect your PC to?
The projector's resolution rate is XGA [1024 x 768]
If you are using a VGA cable designed and capable of handling 640 x 480 resolution; then it will not support XGAs 1024 x 768 signal. On the other hand, if the coaxial cable you are using is a multi band one that is capable of supporting VGA and XGA resolution signals, most likely the problem is not with the cable- although I have come across brand new cables that are defective.
Please let me know if this helps or else we'll try another approach :)

What does scart mean?

images?q=tbn:and9gcsq3imtjhqb0abmt8dptscde8waay3n_hlomxu7sbdjgyrsqmaoxypwoa
A SCART connector is a physical and electrical interconnection between two pieces of audio-visual equipment, such as a television set and a video cassette recorder (VCR). Each device has a female 21-pin connector interface. A cable with a male plug at each end is used to connect the devices. (The 21st pin is actually not a pin but a ground shield contact.) Stereo audio, composite video, and control signals are provided in both directions. RGB video signals are input only. The interface is an industry standard
originated by the French company, Peritel. Today, most new television sets and VCRs in the European market and other countries that use the PAL video standard come equipped with a SCART connector. SCART stands for Syndicat francais des Constructeurs d'Appareils Radio et Television. The connector is also known as a Euro-connector.
Although it is possible to build your own connecting cable, knowledgable people recommend buying a commercial cable because of the detailed pin-crossovers and close pin connections. Differerent cables serve different purposes. A cable for connecting a VCR or a TV set to a high-fidelity audio system needs to use only three of the 21 pins.
It is more difficult to use the SCART connector to interconnect a VCR to a computer monitor because of the difficulty of synchronizing the composite video signal (which is companded into red, green, and blue) from the VCR with the RGB signals needed by the monitor.

Will not regonize computer source

The projector looks for Horizontal sync & Vertical sync signals from the VGA source. If it finds these signals only then the source is connected. Even if the sync signals are found, the RGB switching should be working. Either there is a problem in sync circuitry or RGB switching. You need to be well conversant with the circuitry.

I need access to manual for the Image Pro 8758. We are getting no picture output from Projector. currently using the component to 15pin VGA wiring. Which is connected to the Computer 2 input terminial on...

Try pushing the source button either on the projector or the remote. It will tell the projector to look for another source. It may currently be set on one of the other sources. If you look up the manufacturer on-line, you should be able to download the manual.

Sony VPH D50Q projector doesn't see signals above 480i

HI Tom,

For some reason I cannot reply to other inquiry would you please close the problem, I am glad that the configurations worked out for you.

************************************************************************
In order to configure the proyector for hd video you would need to change a couple of things in your set up.

First you would need to use hd cables, and not the rgb. You can purchase some standard high def cables at any best buy or radioshack, depending on the source device there is the standard high def out, the set of 5 cables, 3 video plus the 2 audio.

To enable the unit to support the progressive DVD signal, perform the following
procedure.

Connect the DVD player’s component output into Input A.
In the SET SETTING menu select HDTV-YPbPr for Input A.
In the INPUT SETTING menu highlight Sync and select EXT (HV).
The IDTV module disables itself automatically

Perform this procedure with nothing connected to the component input on the projector, otherwise you will get the an off/on flickering screen which prevents you from seing what you are doing when navigating the menu screens. Perform the procedure and then connect.

Let me know if you need anything else,

Al

Projector takes 30-40 min to recognize signal from elmo 110xg

the resolution might not match from presenter to projector. are you using rgb, composite or s-video? the signal might not match. there might be an auto adjust on the projector to read and match the elmo's resolution. if not, the elmo may have an issue sending a powerful enough signal to the projector, and need a new main board.

Will this projector work for HD TV?

While the projector may attempt to display the HD TV, it will be poor quality if a image is displayed at all.

The native resolution is to low as per the specifications. The resolution needs to be at at leat 480P to be compatble with HD TV.

How do i connect my projecter with my pc

Hi,

Your Sharp XR-10X will only allow video inputs through the:
1. RGB/ component input (15-pin HD)
2. composite video input (RCA phono color yellow)
2. S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN )

Depending on the output(s) available from your PC, you can use any of the following:
a. the yellow RCA female
b. S-Video output (4 pin mini-DIN )
c. VGA (which normally goes to the monitor) but would require a VGA/HD to HDMI Format Converter such as the one here

Should this be not enough information, please post back with what PC brand/model that you have. Additionally please specify what Video Card are you using if your PC is a desktop.

Good luck and kind regards.
