Like you I use Windows 7, and can tell you instantly that some older Microsoft programs do not work with Win 7, whilst some other ones do. If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you can try running Frontpage in Administrator and Windows XP compatibility mode.

Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate instructions:

A. Right Click on the Program name if installed (Could also try with install too if not installed)
B. Click on 'Properties'
C. Select 'Compatibility Mode'
D. Try using the different 'Compatibility Modes'. I would try 'Windows XP Service Pack 1' first, if this does not work, try 'Windows 98'
E. Click 'Apply' then 'OK'

F. Right click on the program name that you selected compatibility mode for above, and select "Run as Administrator"
G. Follow any further instructions

If this does not work, then it will probably be cheaper to find a used newer version on a site like eBay. Note that Frontpage 2002 has Windows 7 issues too, so please check out the following links.

Good Luck

If you upgraded to win 7 PRO or above then there is still a chance you can use the older version.

If however you only went with home premium then its going to be a lucky dip I am afraid.

Hey please help me,does home choice laptops support windows 7 because my friends formated the hardrive please help me i realy dont know what to do,i tried installing windows 7 starter but it does&

Unless your laptop is very old, it should support Windows 7.
Did you format the disk as FAT32 or NTFS ? either of these two will do. Did Win 7 actually install correctly ? or did the install fail ?
You sure the Win 7 disk is legit ?

How to install a midi driver for windows 7

The applications just may be too old for Win 7. You can try running under Troubleshooting Mode by right clicking on it.
MS has a Virtual XP mode download.

There is still a DOS emulator you can download.

I am lerning a+ &n+ and i am having mercury pc but it is problom to me to boot or formet the drivers and i want to update the winxp ti win 7 some time the dv d players will not function with win...

Hi, you can download drivers here:

http://www.mercury-pc.com/downloads_list.php?productid=510

Please unzip the file before installation.

Your mainboard is too old to run windows 7 as it is 10 years old.
There is no drivers for that operating system anyway.

Consider to buy a newer pc compatible with windows 7.

Is Inbit messenger compatible in windows 98? Is there anyway that we can install Inbit messenger in Win 98?

Modern versions of Inbit 24im Messenger only support versions of Windows as early as 2000.Windows 98 is, at the very least, 12 years old, unstable on modern machines, unsecure by todays standars, and unsupported by Microsoft.I would recommend updating your propriety operating system.

Windows 2007 driver for GPS receiver

Well, if it isn't written for Win 7 there is little chance it will work. However, you could try installing and running in Compatibility Mode for Win XP SP2. You right click, the .exe, and go to properties, and set it there. Do this as Administrator, do this for ALL .exe's, the Install and when you "Run" the installed program. It may work, is your only shot anyway. Another way I use is to install a "Virtual" PC, Vmware, install an XP Version, and use the device Inside that, save any files to a shared drive, and you will be able to access them outside of VM.

Viking Rose 605 does not read anything but Win 98.

Ebay may have a laptop with win 98 but that is a pretty old OS. No way to register the software without contacting Viking to ask them to allow you to register her old software unless she sent you the reg numbers. She can't transfer ownership to you without those numbers on a certificate. Only originators of the software can allow you to do that by overriding her registration. Contact VSM and ask them if they will do this so you can use it.

Error code.

Are you sure it doesn't say Frontpg.exe? I'm not familiar with Frontog.exe, but Frontpg.exe is the primary executable for Microsoft Frontpage.

If it is Frontpg.exe, the first thing I would suggest is to make sure you have any security updates available for your version of Frontpage. I believe you can update that at http://microsoft.update.com as part of Windows Update.

I haven't been able to find any knowledge base articles on this particular error. See if you have all the most recent patches - if not, download the newest ones and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, let me know and I'll try to dig deeper.
