bosch dishwasher model no sgs5342gb/17 will not fill new water valve fitted

The most common reason why your machine has stopped filling is not the valve, but more likey you have had a leak and the base of the machine is full of water.
If you take the lid off followed by the left side panel ( held on with 2 torx 20 screws ) the lid has two clips at the back and pushes back from the front.
at the bottom of the metering tank towards the front you will see a Red lever going up to a mircoswitch and down to a float. push the lever down to see if the microswitch reacts. if so the base is full of water. empty out and test. try this first, if no luck get back to me.
