Question about Samsung LN-S4692D 46 in. LCD HDTV
I get horizontal lines on the right half of my screen screen for 30 minutes and then they go away.
Thanks for using FixYa. To start with you'll have to open the back of the unit and check the connections to the main board and power supply unit. Usually this kind of issue is caused by a cable (LVDS) which connects from the LCD controller to the main board. You can try to unplug it and then plug it back if still its not resolved then you have to replace it. It can also be due to the inverter circuits for the backlights. The inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. There could also be a screen driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire inverter board. All this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for checking the internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages running even when the set is switched off. The cost to change the inverter board including labor would be around $250, if you get this done by a professional. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
