Question about Refrigerators
For the last month or so, the bottle on top of the unit collapes as water is dispensed. I think that there must be a valve problem, but can't find any information online about this problem or what I need to do to fix it. I have owned this unit for about 4 years.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The hot water stopped heating and I checked the on/off switch in the back. What should I do now?

Tips for a great answer:
Hi Ernest Jackson - First, I suggest checking that the water valve is completely open (usually located on the back of the unit). Second, when was the last time the filter was changed? Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency. Also keep in mind that a clogged water filter or a blocked supply water valve may also lead to no water to the dispenser. If that is not the issue, than the refrigerator could possibly have a faulty valve, dispenser control board and/or failed water valve diode. Generally it is a good idea to have a professional take a look at it to get to the root cause. Cost of parts and technical expertise entailed in these types of replacements can be a bit tricky.
