When after power up the computer press num lock key if num lock led is flash on and off when you press num lock key then your cpu is working fine.But if it stay constant then open cpu cabinet cover then reconnect RAM memory and processor and it's fan pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes then reconnect it then check.Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet.
If num lock led is on and off then when you power up the computer press F8 key 5 to 6 times so you can see safe mode and other menu then enter in "Enable vga mode" then go to display property ->settings change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
If everything are fine in cpu then your monitor need repairing.

Thanks for using FixYa.
you can change these, you need some soldering skills. the monitor is 3 colour sets. so they have same components on the 3 colours. so you take all is leaking out clean the liquid (sulfuric Acid), and replace with a new ones. you find the components in your local electronics stores.
Open the monitor, examine the circuit boards. Look for small components that look like small cans, these are capacitors. If you see any that look bulged on top, then your problem can probably be solved by replacing these. Check out the following sites;
It really sounds like your back light has bit the dust. I can't always see stuff on the LCDwhen the back light is out. Check in with LCDrepair.net for parts, and repair of your monitor. I truly hope this helps. Good luck.
