you may have already found this out, but it is your linksys network adapter itself which is the problem! i simply unlugged it - sound problem cured! now trying to find a solution so i can stay online and listen to music etc at the same time. obvious solution would be to buy a different network adapter but i dont want to do that after spending £70 on the one ive got!

Hello, Click start, right click my computer, click manage. From there click device manager. This will list all installed devices including sound. Right click sound device and Click Update driver. Follow instructions. Reboot computer. If this doesn't work, get manufacture and part numbers off sound card. Go to manufacture web site and do a search for card number and download driver. Hope this helps

I've been reformated my notebook and install the win7. My linksys wusb300n worked very well wit the win vista but now it can work wit win7. I need some asistance for that, please!

Have you installed the appropriate drivers? Okay here you go: goto www.linksys.com
search for the drivers and see whether this device is compatible with windows 7. When you find the drivers download and install them.
I hoped that you did not install any drivers for this device previously and if you even did install first uninstall those drivers and then re-install the freshly downloaded drivers.
Hope this works!

Wont connect to wireless network

first, I suggest trying a different USB port. remove the adapter and the icon should disappear, so if the usb port is loose or broken that may be why its acting like that. Plug it into a different port and try it. You may have to reinstall the driver for the next usb port depending on your system
