Please confirm:

1. did it ever work? how long have you had item? has it been dropped or damaged besides regular use? - 1 year warranty is usually provided by manufactuer, seller may have sold extended warranty that you may make use of unless item was damaged.

2. do you have an alternative way to charge it? is it only not charging when plugged to the computer? does your item come with a cd for you to install drivers, please run cd, install drivers and software required and test.

3. have you tried a different usb cable? a different usb port? a different computer?? please try to post back with test results

4. check the power switch and try it in each position when attempt to charge.

5. try to reset the switch by using a paper clip and being very careful insert the tip through the a reset hole to press the botton that will reset the device.

6 most devices of this category usually may have firmware updates avaliable from the manufacturer website. if your computer is able to see that your device is connected, proceed to update the firmware. (at this time, though there does not seem to be any firmware updates)

if all have failed, your unit may have failed and if no warranty avaliable it may be have to be replaced.

Hello I bought an Onix Multimedia player from ALDI. How do I charge it? When I connect it to my pc I can't see it? no drive showing it Any chance in getting an electronic version of the user...

1. Please confirm that the power switch (located on the side of the player) is in the up or ON position. 2. When you connect to your computer, please make sure that the computer is powered on and not in a sleep or standby state, as those low power states will not charge a USB device. If that's not working, charge the player in a wall charger or another computer.

The battery is not charging

You can try and reset the player. resetting a Clip player: 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
Some things to check for when your player does not act like its taking a charge.
USB Cable Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player.
Computer in Hibernation mode Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player.
USB Port 2.0 Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).
USB Port location Try plugging into different USB ports (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); occasionally the front USB ports have limited power to charge up the device.
Battery Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
Latest firmware Depending on what Sansa player you have, make sure it's up to date with the latest firmware.
AC charger (optional) AC chargers (sold separately) have a 500-1000 milliamp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port.

The mp3 player won't charge when I plug it into the computer and my wife's won't accept any more playlist

I dont know about the playlist. But if the Sansa LION battery goes too low it shuts down. When you plug it into your computer to charge the player, It usually powers up so the computer can detect the hardware being plugged into the USB port and provide power for charge.
You need to plug in the USB cable from the player to the PC and perform a system reset - Press and hold for 20 seconds the power on button and the play button (>||). this should work you may try it on your wifes player?

Connect the USB cable to the MP3 player then power up a computer and plug this MP3 and cable into the computer's USB port.

Charging mp3 player

If your MP3 has an inbuilt Li-Ion battery (e.g. no compartment for a standard/Ni-MH AAA battery), then connecting the player to your computer will normally charge it - this is the case for the PD-6070 'stick' player. Your player will also indicate that it is being charged (or not charged!) via the battery level/power indicator which is located on the top RHS.
Hope it helps!
