If you had insects and they have been nesting the best thing is to throw it out. because they have probably did alot of damage inside like the wires and connections and it would not be worth cleaning it.

I have aiwa nsx-kt9 speakers.kindly tell me how much watt amplifier will be right for these speakers

These speakers are 6 OHMS, that means you can only use an amp that is rated for 6 ohms. The original amp put out 20 watts (rms). Any amp rated above 25 watts per channel could do serious damage to the speakers if turned up to the highest levels.

Can I replace the speakers on this system? Speakers are too large for space & want to replace with another brand.

make sure impedance is the same so 6 ohms and the power rating of speakers is no less than 200 watts peak rms.And bare wire ports on back of speaker.
The power rating is so the speakers can handle the maximum power delivered by stereo amplifier without burning out speakers coils.

Want to buy a sony subwoofer XS-GTX120LT. Just dont know what amp to buy.

You need to look at the RMS of the sub. If it say 1200 watts max you RMS is around 100 watts. By a amp that the Rms is the same or slightly lower so you don't blow the sub

Aiwa tw60 subwoofer have power but no woof sound

Aiwa isn´t a good subwoofer. The best are Rel, Sonus Faber, etc.
Here is the characteristics:

.1 20 watts, Min. RMS at 4 ohms, from 40 Hz to 160 Hz, with no more than 1% Total Harmonic Distortion

The subfrequencies are below 25 Hz, but TS-W60 work over 40 Hz!.

Bass frequencies (woof) are from 25 to 50 Hz.

Bad, very bad.

Sell it and buy a good subwoofer.

I just bought 2 plsq10d/ 10" square Pyle subwoofers. I've got some questions. What would be better, one amp or two? How many watts for the amp(s)? Do I need to mess with my alternator to power this system?...

Hi, tech specs say 1200 watts peak. what you want is RMS value and quick guide I use to comvert watts peak to Rms is divide by 3 (approx=400Wrms) Ok to drive a little harder - use 500Watt RMS amps per speaker. decision to use 1 or 2 amps depends on amp capability -use 2 x 500wrms 2 channel amps(1 per speaker bridged mode) or 1 x 1000wrms 4 channel amp (bridge 2 channels for each speaker). Whether you need to do anything about your charging system will depend largely on the capability of your alternator and the various vehicle loads that need to be supplied on a day to day basis ( use winter for worst case scenarios) as this system could be reasonably expected to consume 60 amps on large bass notes (dead giveaway is to add the fuse ratings on nominated amps). there is vast amounts of knowledge for this subject and what has been touched on here is just that

I dont undestand what it means watts

u dont need to because all most all retailers lie about power outputs of their products for Example. If a product says 180W it cant actually physiclly do this its very hard to explain but 180W is the Equivalent to 16W RMS so when u see these amplifiers that say a 1000W take no notice of them coz there **** fake's that can Probably only hold about 2W RMS. i dont get all of it and i did a sound Engineering course Basically in the future i advise you to only buy something that says the RMS Wattage eg. Type of brands that will be accurate watts are A brand called MISSION very good at average price's, second TEAC,QUAD,maybe DENON but not too sure on them, but all these brands make seriously powerfull amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers, ect hope this helps you my friend

I have a speaker system that i bought in the uk that i brought to the USA. I would like to find an appropriate voltage transformer so that the stereo works as it should. it says on the back of the speaker...

RMS means the nominal power of the amplifiers. Yours total is  23 Watts so the max power (the one the transformer must be capable of delivering) is 50 Watts.
The first one from here

is perfectly enough.

Peavey amp

You could also use speakers rated less than 400 RMS provided you dont crank the volume knobs all the way up.
I think the CS400 is 200 Watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms
400 watts bridged

Here's the manual. You'll need acrobat to open it.
