Question about Nexgrill 720-0234 (LP)

1 Answer

My barbecue has given me problems from day one. I have had problems getting it hot enough to cook with. Real big problems and used the broquet grill as a backup many times. I am aware of turning on the propane tank to quick but it still is an issue. Now I cant even get it to work. I have propane. I can't get the ignitor to work but tryed starting it with a lighter and even though I have the propane on and the knob turned to ignite, it still wont light. I unscrewed the propane hose at the tank and can hear pressure releasing. If I can fix it all that would be great. It is a great size barbecue. I can deal with the ignitor but the rest? Back to the broquets tonight. Thank god for the backup!

Natural gas to LP

It sounds like a pressure problem. Try checking to see if a valve or regulator may be clogged. Some times a valve or regulator or event he line it self may have spider webs or spider nest inside the line and that will block the flow.

Grill Chef bbq not enough heat , goes up to 400%initially and back down to 250%. Has been cleaned thoroughly. Garbage?

if you want good constant hot fire change charcoal i switched from briqutes to lump or what they call natural charcoal i use royal oak but best choice also markets it. thing is they add starch to briqutes to make them stick together and burn longer thus reducing constant heat the natural lump charcoal work great for good hot fire ill assume your grilling steaks works great on them hope this solves problem

Bunners do not get hot

Barbecue Repair Parts Don't let spiders crawl into your venturis, yearly maintenance part are available. 27897.jpg?qlt=80&cell=325,325&cvt=jpeg If you notice that your Barbecue is getting hard to light or that the flame isn't as strong as it should be, take the time to check and clean the VENTURIS. 27898.jpg?qlt=80&cell=325,325&cvt=jpeg In some areas of the country, spiders or small inserts have been known to create "flashback" problems. The spiders spin webs, build nests, and lay eggs in the BARBECUE VENTURI TUBE (s)obstructing the flow of gas to the BURNER. The backed-up gas can ignite in the venturis behind the control panel. This is known as a flashback, and it can damage your Barbecue and even cause injury. To prevent flashbacks and ensure good performance the BARBECUE BURNER and VENTURI assembly should be removed from the grill and cleaned before use whenever the BARBECUE has been idle for an extended period of time.

Hope this helps!
