I have a HP pavilion a320n desktop. I decided to upgrade the RAM so I installed two 512 chips, as per instructions. When I turned the unit back on nothing happened, as if there were no power at all, no fan, no lights not a thing, almost as if the power supply were bad... any suggestions??

When playing online games, my computer runs really slow, and at least once a week i get a pop-up stating that the virtual memory is low - how do I fix it?

The easiest way is to add more RAM memory. More RAM = faster computer.

Go to WWW.CRUCIAL.COM and run their SCAN MY COMPUTER option.

This will tell you excatly how much RAM you currently have installed in your system as well as how much room you have to add more if you want. It will tell you all the specs you will need to buy new RAM memory sticks and easily upgrade your computer's performance.

Good luck and please post back if this was helpful or if you need further assistance.

My laptop has 256K memory installed. I purchased 512 RAM (max I can add is 1024) and installed it in my hp Pavilion zt1230 laptop. Per Kahlon.com instructions, I cleaned gold leads with eraser and popped...

Is it a High Density memory? There are two different types of memory, High and Low. Low density is the universal but High density, may be cheaper but the motherboard needs to be compatible with High density memory. Although your memory fits in the slot, I think you have High density memory hence why it won't boot up and does when you remove the memory.

Sdram capacity

its that 512 mb total capacity for your computer memory?? if so read this:
To find the total amount of RAM that can be added , subtract the amount of RAM currently in the computer from the maximum amount of memory the computer can hold. For example, a computer has 256 MB of RAM. If the maximum amount of memory the computer can hold is 512 MB, then 256 MB is the amount of RAM that can be added. this info from the HP website , to find out more , go to http://www.hp.com/support , enter the model number , and look for more information about your computer specs, hope this helps , please rate & thanks AJ
