Corrupt External Hard drive

I have had my external hard drive for 3 months. Recently, often the drive has not been recognised and my computer says that it is not connected even though it is. Suddenly, today I turn on my computer and try to access my hard drive. It says that drive F/: is not accessible and corrupt. I have tried connecting it to another computer but still the same result. Can you help me?

Iomega 320 external hard drive computer wont recognise

Probably not the right answer for your problem. Mine is an external 1 TB Simple Drive. Mine wouldn't respond at all. I unplugged the power cable from the back of the hard drive and replugged it in and instantly it worked (with the computer and hard drive plugged in). I had tried rebooting the computer, plugging/unplugging over and over into the computer and that didn't work.

mrtunink,
Yellow ! simbol show in the usb devices means your usb driver may be corrupt so OS can't recognised the usb devices, u have to reinstall the driver like that way,

At first right click on my computer icon- then select propertices- then "hardware" - then click on devices manager buttons- then select ur devices and right click on it and click propertices then u finds reinstalls button under its propertices click on it and select install software automatically (recomanded) and click on ok. then windows scarch its driver automatically and install it.

Toshiba Hard Drive Crash

Hi,
if the datas aleady deleted, then you have nothing to lose. Right ?
What you need is a 2.5 to 3.5 inch IDE ribbon cable connector.
this will enable you to put the drive into an IDE slot on the PC internal motherboard ( primary/secondary )
Unless it,s already 3.5"
boot the computer, see if it recognises the drive. And format it.
then you may be able, to re-fit back into the external casing, and use as an external again.
