hi there, i have a pantech duo, and the screen is stuck on the at&t screen? it wont let me get into the main phone screen..i thought about deleting all the files off the phone and putting factory setting files back on it? as in resetting the phone to the way it was? however, i can find a copy of the files anywhere to do this? ive taken the battery out and the phone will start and turn off, just not get past the at&t screen. previous to this? i downloaded a program from download.com so i could edit my home screen settings? also a photo contact option which stopped working, which is when i turned off the phone and it wouldnt restart again. it said there was a file missing to start contact list. i can access the files in the storage and the phone, so like i said..i thought if i could only have the files to restart the whole phone from the beginning, and try and start the phone that way, it might work. anyways..im out of options and im freaked out i broke this stupidest $500 phone!! please help in anyways u can...sorry if this message either gave to much useless information or not enough useful information. thanks for ur help..
This dame phone freezes constantly. I have exchanged it once because the "FN" key didn't work but the original had all kinds of problems with getting email and accessing the web. Now this new one freezes and I have to reboot to get it working again. Then it can be working fine and without notice it sends all my incoming calls to voicemail but I don't get the new voicemail signal, or I call out and it ends the call immediately. Not to mention the poor camera.
My Phone had the same problem. Atnt said it happens when there is too much data on the phone. You can try soft resetting it which is taking out the battery. There is also hard resetting which takes everything out but I didn't want to do that so I'm not sure how it would be done. I solved my problem by taking out the SD card and turning the phone back on. Then I deleted files in the phone that I don't need. After putting back the SD card I deleted files off of that too. Now it seems to work fine.
good luck
