Hi dear

try this

  1. Before you attempt to use any Wi-Fi network, find out what the SSID, Channel, Mode and WEP key are. Some Wi-Fi locations do not require a WEP key. Many Wi-Fi providers have this information on their web site or when you purchase access you will be provided the information.
  2. Ensure you have a firewall program installed and running. This will protect your data.
  3. Start up your laptop and once booted, look for the Wi-Fi network icon in the bottom right of the screen.
  4. Click on the Wifi Connection icon on bottom right of screen and you should see a window that indicates connection, strength and duration. Click on the Properties tab.

  6. The next window will show the type of networking card installed. Click on the Wireless Networks tab.

  7. 02ee437.jpg

  8. Once the Wireless Network Connection Properties window is open you will have two options depending on how you set up your laptop.
    • If you do not see any networks listed in Preferred or Available networks, you will have to manually add the SSID. Click on Add. You will have to enter the SSID and WEP key (if required). Click OK and you should then see the network you just added in the Available networks box.

    • If you see the correct SSID showing in the Available Networks, then you need to click on Configure in order to enter the WEP key if that is required.92752af.jpg

    • In the next window, enter the SSID for the Wi-Fi network you want to access. Make sure you do not have CAPS lock or NUM lock while entering the information. If a network key is required, click on "Data Encryption and then enter the Network key you have been provided with. Again make sure you do not have CAPS or NUM lock on. Click OK when entered. If you have entered the key incorrectly a message will pop up and you wilproblems with wireless - fccfda9.jpge-enter the key.

    • fccfda9.jpg

    • Next go to Start - and where it says Connect To click on that and you should see choices like in the graphic below. Click on Wirproblems with wireless - 34b0a7b.jpgork Connection and it should work.

There are occasions when the connection doesn't work, in these cases check your firewall software and make sure it allows you to connect to the Wi-Fi network. To check this, disable your firewall software and check the connection again. If you can connect with the firewall program disabled, you change your settings. If your firewall program is not the problem check the SSID and WEP key information that you entered. Both of these are case sensitive. If you had obtained SSID information from the Internet, check with someone in the establishment to see if the SSID has been changed.

oke post in me back

i hope this usefull for you

thanks

My laptop wont connect to any wireless connection at all anymore, but I can plug it in to the ethernet and it works. the wireless switch is turned on and when i try to connect to any connection and it says...

Hello.

For your wireless card problem, be certain that your wireless access is turned on. Often there is a switch (location depending on the model) to to turn wireless off and on.

Then, if still a problem, I'd suggest to go to Device Manager. Right-click your wireless network card and select Update to update the driver.

If still a problem, go back to Device Manager. This time delete the wireless network card, restart your computer and see if the problem resolved.

If still a problem, replace your wireless card.

Hope this helps.

My wireless adapter for my desktop keeps connecting for awhile and the disconnect from my wireless router /modem. The router is less than 100 feet from the computer ....do i need a new usb wireless adapter...

Is there any other wireless computer in the network ?
Right now the connection is dropping on your computer . It might be the problem with the wireless adapter of the computer or the wireless router .
You will need to isolate the problem.

If you have any other wireless computer in the network and that computer is also facing the same problem then it must be the router problem. You can check the settings of the router . for this you will need to access the router set up.

If you have other wireless computer in the network and that is working properly then it must be adapter issue. Try to uninstall or reinstall the adapter or Update drivers.

If you do not have any other wireless computer then try any laptop in this wireless network just to isolate the problem.

Wireless connection wont work

To check if the wireless card is bad or OK.
Go to Control Panel - Network Connections - Is the wireless network connection listed and if so is there a red X on this connection?
If so, right click on the wireless and click Repair - this may fix your problem, it forces the wireless router to issue the wireless card with a new IP address.
If it doesn't fix the problem then go to Control Panel - System - Hardware tab - Device Manager - scroll down to Network Adapters and expand and check your wireless card, is it Working and Enabled?
If has a yellow ? against it or not working then reinstall the wireless card driver.
If the wireless card is built-in check the BIOS to see if the wireless card is enabled, if not enable the wireless card and repeat the above steps.
If this doesn't fix your problem then the wireless card is faulty and you need a new wireless card. You can get a PCMCIA wireless card to replace the faulty wireless card. If the wireless card is built-in then disable the faulty wireless card in the BIOS before you install the new wireless card.

Internet problem

It could be several problems:
1. Your wireless router misconfiguration.
2. Your wireless router is bad
3. Your wireless card misconfiguration on your laptop
4. Your wireless card is bad.

If you never had problems with your wireless connection before and you haven't change configuration on your router or your laptop. I have seen and repaired this problem by replaceing wireless router.

Good luck!!!
