Question about Garden

I have a Homelite Ranger chain saw with a 33cc engine. Went to push the bulb for the fuel prime and the bulb stayed stuck in. Is there anyway to get the bulb to come back out or do I have to buy a new one?

It is not a primer, it is an air bleeder.
Disconnect the fuel filter and try it, If the filter is partly blocked that might do it. Fuel is drawn from the tank through the carburetor when the bulb is released a plugged filter or kinked/collapsed line is the likely cause.

A severly plugged tank vent is a distant possibility too. Try it with the cap off.

Open up your gas cap and poke it a few times. It just stayed in because of the vacuum inside it, nothing wrong with the bulb. It just needs to get the flow going again.

Homelite chain saw csp 3314 will start if i tip petrol in spark plug home but wont stay running

There could be a problem with either the fuel line going to the carb or the impulse line that's connected from the cylinder base that generates the 'pulsing' action that operates the diaphragm fuel pump. Today's alcohol rich gasoline has a tendency to weaken or even rot the rubber lines causing fuel delivery issues.

If you don't use your saw for extended periods, dump the tank empty then start the engine and run the residual gasoline from the line. This will help extend the life of the fuel lines.

Another possibility could be a blocked fuel filter, but that is remote.

primers pull fuel from the carb and dumps it back into the tank, so if the bulb will not prime the chances are the fuel filter in the tank is blocked, pull the fuel hose through the filer hole and replace the filter on the end.

Just got a homelite 33cc 14 inch chain saw, do you mix gas and oil on this chain saw?

Yes you do! The ratio is 50:1 fuel to oil. Be sure to use a modern synthetic saw oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Be sure to use fresh fuel and mix the two in it's own container. Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before refueling to prevent oil starvation in the engine. Don't make up more than one gallon at a time unless sawing is your business. Hope this helps!

What is the mix for my Homelite 16" 33cc chainsaw?

50:1 is the fuel to oil ratio. Never use petroleum oil (engine or boat motor oil). Always use a synthetic saw oil available from home centers, hardware stores and saw dealers. The bottles are usually graduated to various ratios for a gallon of fresh gas. Always premix in it's own container and shake the container thoroughly each time just before filling the tank to prevent oil starvation. Be sure to use bar/chain oil for the chain as well, and keep the chain sharp and well adjusted. Hope this helps!

What is the oil to gas ratio for a homelite zr 10926 16 chain saw

This is a current Homelite product although not your saw. This clearly recommends 50:1 as do I. I find no OM for your saw, a "Ranger 33cc 16" Chain Saw UT-10926"
http://www.homelite.com/product_manual/file_url/66/UT10540_60_80_QSG.pdf
Dolmar, Echo, Efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear & Jackson, Stihl & Tanaka; all recommend 50:1 and have for a number of years.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.

I suggest you contact Homelite and request an OM for your saw.

Please ask they prove a link to a site where ALL homelite product OMs may be accessed.

Jambed brake

Hello Brian; Why do you want to? You may never get it back together. The IPL is probably as good an illustration as you will find. Enlarge it enough to make the detail visible. There is a chain brake kit available that might include some instructions but no promises (brake dragging? try changing the clutch bearing). This is as detailed as it gets. Contact Homelite and they will likely tell you to take to a service center.

https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here. cursor down to "Ranger 33cc 16" Chain Saw UT-10926". "Clutch - Hand Guard - Drive Case Cover" detail.

My Homelite Ranger 16 inch chainsaw starts great runs smooth but upon cutting in to any sized branch or tree it now bogs down and stops cutting. Whats strange is that doesn't die it keeps running but will...

My 16" Ranger had the same problem. Here's how to fix it. Take off the top cover and the red side cover to acess the carburator. Take the top off the carb; there is a single screw that holds it on. Inside you will see a 10mm round indention. This is a final screen fuel filter. Mine had a layer of light brown dirt over the screen. Take a small screwdriver and carefully scrape the dirt off. You don't need to clean the carb any further or adjust the H and L settings or anything. Put it back together and it should run with no bogging. down.
