Horizontal and vertical sizes are set correct.
I have never used any other size paper other than 8.5 X 11.0.
I printed 23 pages of photographs on HP glossy photo paper- when I switched back to
automatic paper- I received the error message.

  • WACDCO Mar 23, 2008

    resetting did not help.

  • WACDCO Mar 23, 2008

    sorry no luck.
Incidentally the printer will print a test page with no problem on 8.5 x 11.0 paper.

  • WACDCO Mar 25, 2008

Problem solved. Scrap of paper under the paper guides.

Thank you everyone for proposing solutions.

Have you double checked to make sure you sent the horizontal and the vertical sizes right?
if yes then proceed
I had a similar problem in a different printer. I turned the paper in the tray 90 degrees. It looked totally wrong to me, but the printer stopped giving me errors & it printed correctly.

In the Properties page select the Paper Standards tab. select all of the standards you want in the paper selection list.

If your paper source selection is tray, the A1 and A2 sizes will not be available if the tray cannot hold the A1 and A2 size sheets.

  • dewan nafees ahmed Mar 23, 2008

but as per the information provide by HP

Load a larger paper size or choose a smaller print size.

so attempt all the possible solutions.

any one of these will bring u luck

    thank you

    good luck

Try to reset your printer it might fixed paper size problems:

To reset your device do the following steps.

  1. While the printer is on, remove the power cord from the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  2. If the printer is not already on, turn it on by pushing the power button.
  3. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to the next section.
If it did not fix your problem let me know, i will suggest another solution.

Try turning off the printer and computer and restarting both and see if this solves it and on the computer if this doesn't work, change the paper type in the printer's program

How do I get the printer to print automatically using the bypass tray

you can set the bypass tray the size you want then set paper size setting in the printer driver at your PC.

Hold down the [PAPER SIZE ENTER] key more than 5 seconds to
set the selected paper size.
The currently selected paper feed location indicator will blink and the
corresponding paper size (which is currently set) indicator will light
steadily.

All other indicators will go out.
If the machine has two paper trays, use the [TRAY SELECT] key to
select the paper tray for which you wish to change the paper size
setting.

Each time the [TRAY SELECT] key is pressed, a paper tray will be
indicated with a blinking paper feed location indicator.
Use the [ORIGINAL SIZE ENTER] key to select the paper size you want to set.
The indicator of the selected paper size lights up.

Press the [START] key and then the [PAPER SIZE ENTER] key.
To change the paper size setting of another tray, repeat steps
after pressing the [START] key

Make sure that the tray's paper size setting is the same as the tray's
paper size setting in the printer driver. For example, if the tray's paper
size setting is A4R (LT-R), set "Setting Paper Size" to "A4-R".

Load paper error message when using legal paper. Paper tray is full and still get message. Loaded feeder tray and got clear paper jam. Yet letter size paper worked in the paper tray.

you have to program the paper size anytime you change the size of paper you use in a lot of panasonic machines. This is done through the
function" feature... go intofunction... general settings...scroll down to key operator mode...the code will be "00000000" (8- 0's) and it will be in one of the first screens up

Paper Size Error

Hi there check that the printer properties have not been changed.

  • Click Start
  • Select Printers and Faxes
  • Right hand click on printer icon
  • Select Printing preferences
  • Check that the paper size matches that you have got in the tray
  • OK and exit and test
If the above doesn't work try the following

  • Open MS Word
  • Open the document that you are having problems with
  • Click File
  • Select Page Setup
  • Check that Paper Size is correct
  • OK close and test.
This is normally a driver issue as the paper tray on the printer doesn't know what size paper is in it until you tell it from the driver.

Hope this works for you
Thanks J
