The HP laptop i got is only a month old. Everything was working fine until last week when the webcam started not to work. It said working fine on the panel but in websmart it said must be turned on.

If it's just a issue from last week then you can do one thing if you have exact idea on which date it was working fine. You must restore in to the that date or prior to that date. if have a window XP then you can type in run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe" and start the process your computer to back date. And in case of Windows 7 check with this link : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

if you can restore you computer to back date when you cam was working ..then the issue will be resolved. Otherwise you may go for re-installation of the software for web-cam.

It sounds like your alternator might be starting to go bad and the Battery Light is coming on because it is not charging the battery correctly. Have your Alternator checked with a volt meter, it should be reading 13 to 14 volts if working correctly. If not, replace your alternator.

Cant get windowes to start

Hi ,

I see that ur computer has a boot issue i guess you mean to say that you are not getting to the screen where you ca see the icons and the start button. So to correct this issue please follow the steps that i am mentioning.
Disconnect all the external devices like usb devices, printer etc. Then turn the computer off and when you turn it on as soon as you release the power button after releasing it start tapping the F8 key until you get a black screen that says safe mode .Use the arrow keys on the keyboard and then hit enter, wait till it takes you to the log on screen so once you are there select administrator and then hit the enter key. This should take you to the desktop and if it does then you need to restore the computer to an earlier time when you think that the computer was working fine .Go to start?all programs ?accessories?system tools and then system restore. The page takes time to load up and once it comes up select resotre my computer to an earlier time and then click next?select an appropriate date when you think that the computer was working fine and the date thatyou are selecting needs to be in bold.Once you have selected the date click on next next to exit from the wozard and then the computer will restore to the date that you have selected the computer will restart and then would take you to the normal screen .
Hope this resolves the issue ...all the best

Internet is working very slow, was ok upuntill

You are very lucky that you know the date the problem started. This will make it easier to find out what caused this slowness. I'd suggest you go and check your firewall reports up to yesterday's date to find anything strange and run a malware scan. Slowness can indicate spywares that utilize your system and grind the hard disk for the information it is programed to collect. Also check if there were any other installations that took place yesterday which may have corrupted the system or is incompatible with the system. If my suggestions work, please do rate me. Thanks

Dell mini forced shut down, now runs slowly

go to start - accessories - system tools - system restore - choose a date when it was working fine, preferably the earliest date. then wait for it to shut down and restart. you will not lose any saved files or folders, you will only lose programs installed after the date you choose.

White Screen

Safe mode it works forever?

Try reseting your video settings.
Right click the desktop
Go to properties
Click the settings tab
Choose your optimum resolution 600x800 and 1024x768 are most common. Unless you have a wide screen.

If that doesnt help try disabling programs that start with the pc. However unlikley it may see, if everything works fine in safe mode, it must be related.

Start > Run > Msconfig
Click the start up tab.
Click "Disable All"
reboot

How does it work now?
