Question about InFocus LiteShow II (INLITESHOW2) 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter

2 Answers

I have just purchased the LiteShow II and a new InFocus 2100 series projector. I downloaded all the updated software and drivers. I am running a HP Pavillion laptop with Windows 7. I can run the projector in dual screen mode when hard wired to the projector without altering resolution or any other presets. However, as soon as I power up the Litshow unit it takes this convoluted process to get the Litshow to recognize the projector...and it alters the screen resolution on my PC...Argggg

It was, but I have done all that. There is a problem with the downloaded drivers and program. They will not allow my computers card to operate in dual mode...and that is the function I absolutely need in order to project worship

The LiteShow Manager acts as the proxy between the PC screen resolution and the selected resolution of the LiteShow Device. When LiteShow begins to project, the LiteShow Manager checks if the PC screen resolution matches the configuration of the LiteShow device it is connected to. If they do not match, a dialog is displayed asking you to resize screen. If you choose to resize the PC screen resolution LiteShow Manager will adjust the PC screen. When you stop projecting, LiteShow Manager will restore the original PC screen resolution. LiteShow also provides the choice not to resize. You may have (or somebody) answered "Resize Screen" and checked "Remember my choice and don't show this again" that's why you can't see the option not to resize you laptop screen.

LiteShow II supports these high resolution widescreen formats: 1280x720 (HD 720p) and true WXGA (1280x800) to enable superb content reproduction.
This is the reason that determine it to make changes into your screen resolution ... If you use another resolution as default setting for your computer ..choose one of these 2 ...(the one that fits better ) and make changes to the icons size and stuff like that to make it eye friendly for your taste ...After that the chances are that once started the wireless transmitting from projector...(or to ) it will not make any changes anymore cause it will already see the resolution that it suits it..
If the projector has feature in he menu for resolution ...set it the same like you set in the laptop ...so also will be no need to adjust by itself...

try t reinstall the drivers ...download them from the manufacturer 's site ...I think the problem must be the windows 7 ...this is relatively new..and it has issues and the drivers for it are kinda rare ...try the drivers for vista also ...they are kinda compatible ..I bet you should never had these problems in windows Xp...
Otherwise there is not much you can do ...but try to adjust your screen resolution to the one it always change into ...and get use to it ...I told you before.. to make it eye friendly you can modify the size of the icons and font ....so you have no problems with it ...and the actual resolution it needs is not that high ..one of those 2 I use regulary on a 17 inch screen ..and its ok ..I dont see any reason for it to try to change the resolution if it is already set by you in advance ...

If I don't have the install cd... can I use it with a modern (Windows 7) laptop?

Windows 7 contain already many drivers for different hardware.
To be sure what to do you should check on producers website to check compatibility between windows 7 and this device. Many times producers allow to download from their website drivers for different versions of Windows. If you cannot find the driver for Windows 7 you can try installing it also with drivers designed for Windows Vista. many times they work anyway.

The InFocus LP 250 is not working with Windows VISTA Operating System on my PC. Do I need to download drivers for this to work? If so, how can I download the drivers?

Hello.

Your InFocus projector works with your computer through the VGA or DVI port. You don't need to download a driver.

Check out the manual (How-To Guide) from here:

http://www.infocus.com/Support/Products/Projectors/LP250.aspx

Hope this helps.

Firmware flash Proxima X350

Hi,

Make sure the projector is in flash more before connecting. (read flash instructions)
When it prompts for drivers show the uncompressed flasher program catalogue. It should find the drivers for 'Infocus Projector Flash'.
After this you can run the program and continue normal flashing procedure.

Good luck.

Liteshow adapter will not communicate with notebook computer

The InFocus Liteshow I uses an ad-hoc wireless connection by default. Open the properties of your wireless device, click "Let Windows manage this device", go to the advanced properties and change the setting "Networks to access" to "Computer-to-computer (ad-hoc) only". This worked for me.
