What is the operating system of your computer? Can you tell me the exact model number of your Bluetooth Adapter (it usually starts with GBU)?

Check the link below, and see the system requirements:

http://www.iogear.com/product/GBU421/

You need to check also the system type of your computer (32 or 64-bit OS). Some IOGEAR devices could only support 32-bit OS. If you are running 64-bit OS, that could cause the problem.

Try to uninstall the Bluetooth driver. Reboot the computer, then reload the installation disk that came with it. Once the hardware wizard ask you to plug the device it, just continue the installation, BUT DO NOT plug the device.

After the installation is done, reboot the computer again, the PLUG the device in WHILE the computer is shutting down. Once the computer comes back up, then it should install the other necessary driver. And that should work.

Good luck!

No longer have installation disk. Where can I down load it

As you were not very descriptive, I found an area that gave the drivers for the specific device you listed and there are many operating systems that it is compatible with. Once you get the drivers installed it is simply just a matter of pairing the devices (the speaker and the object running the Bluetooth adapter) and you should be ready to go!

Sir i want to install a bluetooth facility in my laptop it is accer/emachines e727

The easiest way is to purchase a bluetooth dongle for your usb port. I use one myself- generally the install just involves running the drivers disk then inserting the dongle. I would personally recommend using one of the micro dongles that does not stick that far out from your system- I have broken 2 longer form factor adapters by having them get bent!

Won't install

As of this date, there is no Windows 7 driver available for the F8T016. You may want to consider buying a new Bluetooth adapter.

I bought an Iogear Bluetooth 2.0 USB Micro Adapter, model GBU421, which installed flawlessly and automatically in Windows 7.

I need a vista compatible driver for an IOgear gbu311 bluetooth wireless adapter

GBU311 does not have a Vista driver. Because it could only support the Win 2000, Win ME, 98SE, and XP. It does not support Win Vista and later versions.

If you wish to have a Bluetooth adapter that is compatible with Vista and Windows 7, you need to have the GBU421 Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter. Here, check the link:

Thank you and good luck!

No System Tray Blue Tooth Icon

The GBU321 installation software that comes with the CD was the problem. Called their tech service who made me uninstall the BlueTooth Drivers that the CD and Windows 2000 installed first, and then "directly" download and install the BROADCOM drivers. The adapter works very well now. Thanks.

BLuetooth freezes up Laptop

it is most likely because vista does not have the right drivers for the adapter. Try going to iogears website and downloading them...if the exist yet. If not you might have to send iogear a message to hurry up!
