Maytag washer not filling

Disconnect your washer plug from the wall socket, unscrew the inlet pipe which connects to your water mains. Open your water mains to see if water comes freely. Then unscrew your inlet valve to the machine to clean out anything clogging the fine filters, this is done with an old tooth brush, re-fit carefully. Still no go? See if wires are connected well. If all this fails you just have to replace the inlet valve by yourself, it's simple. Net for spares.

When you start it the engine just runs and the machine doesn't fill up with water

Just beyond your filter that you cleaned you will feel some blades, plastic. These blades should turn freely, these are the pump blades, something shd be blocking it, which over flowed from your dirty filter.

Another thing is did your washer not fill with water on starting it? Well take of the power plug from the wall (imprtant before all these jobs!) turn off the washer, turn off the wall valve, unscrew the pipes to see if water flow is gud, check to see if anything is blocking your filters and he washing machine inlet valve. It has a fine filter and is detachable to clean.

Kenmore series 90 plus model # 4217018 water inlet valve

Hi, some users install those horrible quick-connect hose connectors to water pipes, they tend to cut a very small hole, that corrodes over. This will give the exact symptoms you are getting. Also, the flexible inlet hose, if it is kinked/collapsed internally, you can get this. To check this, turn the inlet supply valve OFF, unscrew the flexible inlet pipe from the back of the machine, and hold over a bucket, and turn on the valve. If is trickles, then it has to be either the flexible pipe, or the valve blocked (and NOT the parts inside your machine at all)! Hope This helps, Tony Davis, of LETSFIXIT.

Samsung WF218AN washing machine is leaking from the soap dispenser

Simple sugestion, try cutting back the water in flow rate from the taps, If this works, unscrew the hose from the tap and fit a stainless washer with a small hole in the inside, on top of the wire mesh water filter on the inlet pipe to restrict the flow. Hope it helps.

Need to change inlet pipe

Inlet pipes are freely available at most hardware stores and washing machine suppliers. The end fittings are very similar to those on a garden hose (screw on type) and just turn on. Make sure that the sealing washer is in place and preferably one with a screen on the machine side. It is advisable to give the fittings a slight tweak with a pair of water pump pliers to seat and lock them securely.

No cold water

It sounds like you have a faulty "water inlet valve". These valves are electronically controlled, so it may also be a problem with the control module. The valve is the cheaper part, so I would start there. If you are under warranty, contact the manufacture

Its normal to have the water supply from under sink to dishwasher 3/8 soft copper. If there is a water stop under sink for dishwasher go ahead and shut it off. If not you will have to shut water off at main. Now you can unscrew supply at dishwasher, it's close to the front on left side. Its a 3/8 compression nut, you can use a small cresent wrench.

TAKES HOURS TO GO THROUGH THE CYCLES

Please check that the inlet filter for the water is not blocked, reduced inlet of water will extend the wash and rinse times by a considerable time.

Run the machine with the water turned off at the fawcet that will take the pressure out of the hose

Switch off the machine

Unscrew the connector at the back of the machine which holds the supply pipe in

Look in the hole which is revealed is ther a load of bits of grit and gunk in there , if there is pull out the filter and give it a wash under a tap.

Very little water is flowing in for washing

if the inlet hose is not kinked then turn of water supply to the machine, unscrew inlet hose at the rear of the machine. The may well be a little gauze filter. Check that this filter is clear if there is one. If there isn't one and/ or it is clear and the main water supply presure to the machine is fine then you will need to replace the inlet solenoid on the machine
