Question about White Sewing 1632 Mechanical Sewing Machine

The thread is not coming out of the bobbin properly

I can't find the manual. I am trying to thread the bobbin as I see from the video I still have. The thread from the bobbin on my 1632 model doesn't seem to come out properly. Can you show me how the bobbin holder parts go into the machine and how the bobbin lines up?

I could not find any reference material for this model.

But, Singer has examples and instructions for both a drop in bobbin and a rotary (side/front) bobbin.

Hope this helps.

If you contact the White Sewing Machine Company they may send you a new manual.

What is happening when I sew and 3 threads come out of the bobbin? Or when it just freezes up and I can't get the needle to go up or down?

basically the problem comes from incorrect thread tensions
the main thread responsible is the needle thread as the tension is far too loose
tighten up that tension and it makes the needle on the up stroke pull the thread around the bobbin carrier and collects the bobbin thread and pulls it up to the material
with the needle thread too loose the needle thread is wrapped around the bobbin carrier again giving you the 3 threads ( 2 needle threads and 1 bobbin thread and the tangle jams the bobbin movement

I took the bobbin holder out to clean it but when I put it back in it won't stitch but takes the thread out of the needle. How can I fix it?

any of my machines will take the thread unless I hold the end also .especially if I do not have a long tail thread to begin with .

My Diana 560 doesn't make a stitch, I've checked the needle, the proper Threading, the lint that might have Collected in the well, it runs well, But not a single sticth.

Consult your manual to confirm you have threaded the upper thread and bobbin thread properly. Is the needle installed with the flat side facing the right direction? Did you remember to RAISE the presser foot before threading the upper thread? Are you pulling at least 4-6" of thread through the needle's eye and through the bobbincase before you begin to sew? Once the machine is threaded (top and bobbin), can you manually rotate the handwheel one complete turn and pull the bobbin thread to the top? Like this: How and Why to Bring up the Bobbin Thread

If the bobbin thread does not come up, then your machine probably needs service.

I've been sewing for awhile and randomly my bobbin started tangling - I've tried all the usual things (actually read the manual and everything ;-) and cannot get it to work properly. Any suggestions.

try changing the needle-just incase it may have bent or be blunt or have a burr
take the bobbin out of the bobbin case & put it back in again
check the thread take up lever to see if it's threaded- when the thread comes off it can cause the machine to jam in the bobbin area

Bobbin thread comes out in a mass of threads

ENSURE you have threaded the bobbin properly and at the right tension. Also, ensure that you have routed the bobbin thread properly in the bobbin case.

Thread is not pulling off spool while trying to fill a bobbin.

There are a couple things that come to mind. If your plate is not pushed all the way up where it engages the metal tab on the bobbin, it will not wind properly. Second, if you are using a generic or an old bobbin, you need to replace it. I have seen many machines drive the owners crazy and it turned out to be a bad bobbin.

Thread jams & wheel axel cannot turn

there are a couple of things that come to mind.
Bobbin:   wound with uneven tension.  Try taking the bobbin, rewind that thread onto another bobbin and wind slowly.  make sure the thread feeds onto the new bobbin evenly.
upper thread:  catching on something or not flowing off the spool easily.
you're doing well, sounds like you consulted the manual and used your noggin, hang in there and let me know if this doesn't help.  we can troubleshoot some more!
