That diagram is not going to be any help. I was able to pull out the lights and display - 2 screws and the rest of the fasteners were just plastic tabs. Anway, I was able to get that out. The lights and display come out as one unit. What I couldn't figure out was how to remove the display pcb from this unit. It's wedged in up against the touch pad. I could not figure out how to pull the pcb away from the touchpad. I tried a little pressure with a small screwdriver around the seam between touch pad and display pcb and there seems to be three points along the touchpad that are molded to the bracing that the display pcb snaps into. I don't know if it is molded, but it certainly wouldn't snap away and if I applied more pressure I think something will break. Any other ideas? It has to come out and away somehow, because I able to order and receive just the display pcb.

I don't have pics. The pcb itself does mount in by plastic tabs. That's not the issue. The problem is the orientation of how the pcb sits down in a "hollow" right up against the touch pad. I can release all the plastic tabs securing the pcb, but there is not enough room to move the pcb away from the touch pad and raise the board out of the hollow it sits in. I'm hoping you "FixYa" folks know the trick to get it out. Please help, the customer is waiting.

I think what you are refering to as the "faceplate" is the key. I refere to the faceplate as the touchpad itself, and directly behind the touchpad is the display pcb. I need to get this touchpad out of the way, but can't figure out how, without doing damage. I ordered and rcvd the display pcb so there must/has to be a way to replace it.

No one has been able to help me yet. See the question and answer trail below. I'm trying to swap out a display pcb in an LG refridgerator.

I called and spoke to LG support. They tell me there are two hidden screws behind the touchpad and the touchpad is like a decal that has to be peeled off to access the two screws. Thing is, there doesn't appear to be a part number so I can order a new touchpad/decal.

The manual is appreciated, but it's for and LFX model. I'm working on an LFC. The display in the LFX is notthing like the display in the LFC. Do you have a manual for LFC models?

It appears the mounts are located on the 4 corners of the board. The mounts are either screw and/or combination of plastic mounts. The plastic mounts will have tabs that need to be squeezed in to allow the board to pull up off of the mounts. Any problems, can you send a close-up picture of the old board?

I'll look forward to hearing back from you. :-)

Are the components completely removed from the refrigerator? Some boards have have to be removed from the faceplate to access the screws that hold the two boards together.

Is it possible to send some close-up pictures for me to review?

I just purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator...how do I get rid of the plastic odor?...I've put baking soda in the refrigerator and the freezer but the odor persists.

You can try activated charcoal to absorb the plastic odor. You'll find charcoal in the aquarium section of your ""big box" stores. Depending on how it's packaged, you might have to cut a **** in the package to expose the charcoal. You DO NOT want to use Barbecue charcoal! You can also wipe down the entire interior with a baking soda solution and then rinse. We had the same problem with our Samsung French Door and it was gone within a few days once we began filling it with food and leftovers!
I hope this helps. If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice.

LG Microvave just stopped all at once as if the power went out. Nothing will respond. I checked the outlet is fine.

you may have blown a fuse if there is no power display...the fuse unfortunately is located in control panel... it usually is either a 15 amp or 20 amp fuse... do not put a larger one in or a smaller. to test the fuse if you cant visible see it is bad you will need to ohm out and should get continuity ...if the fuse is good and you have no display most likely the pcb or board is bad.... good luck

My modle # mmv4205aab lost all power, no display, no nothing. thank you

Hello- Unplug, open door, and remove screw holding display panel. Be careful, some wires may need to be unplugged. 20a fuse should be visible. If this fuse is bad- replace and address any power supply issues, such as age of wiring or circuit load-(other stuff plugged in) Hope this helps-ED

HI. this LCD is attached to the PWB assembly board. Unfortunately, this lcd is not sold separately and, you will need to replace the whole PWB assembly in order to fix this issue. This is actually a pwb(pcb) assembly failure.

Door outer plastic plate slide down an inch from the top

You would probably need a service manual, for which you can contact LG at 1-800-243-0000 or http://us.lgservice.com

Or locate a local servicer:
http://us.lgservice.com/gcsc/b2c/hpi/main

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.
