Have a KDF 60Wf 655 will not turn on. Green light comes on then red light with 7 blinks any suggestions? Took bulb out but the bulb light never lit and the bulb doesn't look blown.

The 7x blinking is an error-code which only your operator manual or Sony's website will know.

The 3 blinks is lamp door not closed, what it really means is the door may be warped from the heat of the lamp===the door has a plastic peg on the back that when the door is in place engages a lever just behind the door. If the door is even a little bowed=three blinks.

Engage the lever with something not metal and see if set comes on, if it does replace the door.

Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?

Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

Since you have not replaced its lamp yet. Symptom shows that TV lamp is weak and consume more then required current and causing error of shut down and reboot.
Please replace lamp. Lamp light will lit when lamp would be dead, currently it is weak.

I have the same problem, was the problem cause by the Lamp inside?

This may be the main power supply, or the lamp supply. This is providing that the new lamp is okay.

The service tech will swap out the modules to service the set.

Yes, it's your thermal switch, had this problem and changed the bulb, no help. Got it checked by tv repair and they changed the switch.
