I have a new JENSEN VM9512 and its not working. After the installation in my car I started it with SRC power on button but the music is not playing. The screen comes out by its own and there is no proper display. The display has white/black horizontal lines. I inserted the music disc but its not playing and stuck i.e. not coming out on pressing eject button.
Can anyone help, is there a problem with my unit? Do I need to enter or do some setup with codes etc. I purchased it from ebay and now really worried as I am not in US anymore.

Press the SRC button to turn unit on. The SRC button allows you to navigate between input sources,i.e. tuner, cd, aux, etc. Press and hold SRC button for second to turn unit off ( it will display standby).
He also asked me for my Device ID - This ID is given on the screen after an invalid code is entered. Mine started with AVX20090304...
(believe that is the manufacture date? after the letters?) With this Device ID he was able to give me the proper activation code.
I haven't actually tried the new software, but wanted to put this out there for anyone else that was having trouble finding info on the NAV102.
I have the exact same problem with the exact same stereo. I started by removing the in-line AM/FM/VHF Separator and connecting the antenna directly to the stereo. The static/popping/fade-out continued. Today I swapped to a new antenna, but it did not help. I swapped back to the original antenna and for a brief while, I had good reception. The I went to coil the excess antenna cable and the static/popping/fade-out resumed. I have narrowed it down to either the antenna connector coming out of the back of the stereo or an internal circuit. Either way, it does not look like a do-it-yourself fix.
Press and hold in the SRC button until the unit turns off. While power is OFF,
press and hold FNC and AUTO/TI buttons, and momentarily press the SRC button to
power the unit back on. Continue to hold the other buttons until the unit comes
back on completely.
Make sure you have hooked up your memory power wire to a source of 12
volts that does not go away when the ignition switch is turned
off. I suspect that is your problem. Your main power wire
will of course need to go cold when the ignition switch is turned off.
I dont know if this will work for the mp, but for my jensen 2010x ,while it is on, you press on the (disp) button for 5 seconds untill the clock starts flashing, then on the FF to set minutes and the rewind button to set hours. I literally spent 2 hours playing with it till i figured this out!!!
