Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Video tape becomes entangled in the machine when the tape ejects.

When the video tape ejects, the last thing that appears to happen is that the left hand spool winds forward a little, creating a tape loop in the machine, which in turn gets trapped behing one of the guides. Therefore, the only way to get the tape out of the machine is to take the cover of and manually free the tape. Any clues?

Why one tape at deck A won"t come out. it stock inside unit

There are lots of causes to this. For example the mechanism has jammed. The tape has become entangled in the capstan or elsewhere. Plastic damage causing the mechanism to not move back to the eject position. Some decks have a powered eject that is faulty. Broken spring, or one that has fell off.

Why does vcr/dvd vr2945 keeps ejecting the vhs tape?

ELECTRO MED SERVICES is partially correct with his answer but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be that complicated. First unplug the unit remove the cover and use 90% isopropal alcohol on a cotton swab or q-tip and clean off all of the metal pins that stick up and ride against the tape while it plays, then clean off the big rubber roller that pinches the tape to pull the tape at the correct speed. this is where most often the problem lies. the tape will get sticky and will bind up slightly. Then a there's a sensor on the left side that puts tension on the tape, if that sensor feels the tape is being pulled to hard and has no slack it will shut the player down and eject the tape. Another thing try another tape, that tape may have some hard rolling hubs or spindles. You can also try fast forwarding the tape to the end and then rewind it to make sure its not just rewound with something rubbing inside the tape case it's self. Sometimes the tape case will get deformed over years and it will rub on the tape spools inside and it will cause that sensor to trip when the tape starts to become hard to pull through the player. Also you can clean the big silver head but be careful no make sure you leave no residue on it. look at it with a magnifiying glass to make sure it's cleaned and free of any residue. 1 last thing that happens also is the automatic tape head cleaner will act up and cause problems, you can easily just remove that from the player and see if thats the culprit.

I have a NV-DX110B about 11 years old. I'm getting

Your camera appears slightly older than mine so I will do my best for you. Have you tried ejecting the tape with the power off? If I have problems I slide the eject button when the camera is off but plugged in and the tape can be ejected. I suspect the tape mechanism is in trouble. When a tape stuck in mine I had to literally force the cover open. But this is a last resort.

Give my suggestion a try and apologies if you have already tried that...

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the cassette compartment will not open or the tape is stuck and will not eject.
IMPORTANT: If your camcorder model has a RESET button, first try pressing this button. If there is no RESET button, or pressing the button does not resolve the issue, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery from the camera.
  3. Remove the AC power supply from the camera.
  4. Slide the power switch on the camera to the VTR , VCR or CAMERA mode for 15 seconds.
  5. Slide the power switch back to the OFF position.
  6. Connect the AC power supply to the camera.
  7. Attempt to open the cassette compartment.
NOTE: If the issue is still unresolved after completing all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required .

Go-Video VCR Problem with accepting/ejecting tapes

As with any VCR, there are rubber parts inside that have become slick. This is a simple repair for any shop. The mechanisms are Samsung ones if I remember correctly. Expect a parts cost between $20-$40. Add in the local labor rate for the total cost. This is worth the repair cost as any replacement would not last anywhere near as long. This is also a normal occurrance as rubber parts harden with age. I have repaired many of these over the years.

I had the same problem. The batteries do not last. When the battery becomes weak it can not run the tape so it tells you to eject it.
Buy a new bigger battery. I bought a 160 for ~$30.

Tape keeps ejecting - panasonic nvfj620

Is it only the Head cleaning cassette which keeps getting ejected, or is it happening with every tape you insert? Was the Head Cleaning Tape a little tight in the Cassette compartment? Did you have to put some pressure to push it in or did it come out with difficulty? From your symptoms, it looks like there is a gear timing problem with the cassette loading compartment gears. It could also be due to some obstruction inside. try shaking the VCR, and if you are hearing some noise, Open cover and check for foreign objects.
