Question about Panasonic PV-4601 VHS VCR

1 Answer

Panasonic vcr I have an older panasonic vcr. I don't know what I did but I believe I had it on "program" and it said to push "action" to change the channel to 4. I pushed action and now I can't even get the "program" screen to come on again. In fact it won't do anything at all except turn off or on! I tried unpluging it. It won't turn off or on by the remote either- it did at first but now nothing (batteries are good) When I turn it on by using power on the device it says "TU" in the display window. I push program on the remote but nothing happens. I also tried pushing "action" but still nothing. Please help, I can not afford to buy a new one!

I DONT KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM MY CONTROL REMOTE

Download the free "Copernic Agent Personal" search program ans set it up. Then in very precise words type in the search engine block what is you are in need of. I believe you need the code and instructions for programming your specific remote.

I find the Copernic search engine to be a fantastic tool for finding information on the web.

I need to convert some mini dv tapes onto my computer, and I don't know what button to push or cable to use. This is for a movie project due Wednesday, and I really need help!

You'll need a computer with Firewire, aka IEEE1394. These cables don't have an end that is specifically computer or VCR ends, but they have an A for Alpha and a B size. A style connectors are the larger ones shown in the picture below.
After the cable is connected you'll need an editing program on the computer. Windows computers can use Windows Movie Maker, Mac Can use iMovie. Once connected you'll use the capture feature to get the video onto the computer. wswift.jpg

Change VCR settings from SP to LP or EP

Hi;
I have a Panasonic VCR with a different, but I know how to 'fix' your problem on my m/c. The remote for my m/c has a "REC MODE" button; operating that button changes from SP to EP etc. Check it with the "Program" button on your TV screen.

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings

Hi,
Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.
bye.

PANASONIC PV4022

One way is to manually select the missing channel with the numeric keypad, then push "add." There is also an auto program function puts the VCR into a search mode, adding all channels where a good signal is found. Early VCRs (like late '80s or so) did not have this auto mode, but many later ones did. Also, make sure your VCR is set to the "cable" or "CATV" mode not "off-air" Do you have the VCR manual? If not, recheck your model and see if Panasonic has it online at http://service.us.panasonic.com/OperMan/Default. aspx I looked at at a manual for a PV-4651, and it showed functions which sounded similiar to what you need. Check pg. 10-12
