Call them back!
I assume that he sent you the parts for the new version door switch assembly or He used the wrong ML# when looking up the parts. The ML# is the material list they used for each version of the machine over the years. When they make changes to a machine, like updating the door switch, they issue whats called a TSB (technical service bulletin) to each technician and parts person. Nowadays I think its all computer based. and they dont issue the paper manuals that they used to issue. It was much easier to track way back when. not so much today though.

Hope that helps.

2 used LXi machines, they were power washed and stored. an electrician had to open the electric board (drawer) in order to hardwire machines both machines flash the "door open" (dr op) display.

there is a door switch (reed switch) located inside (I believe) the top right side of the unit and there is a magnet in the same place on the door that triggers the switch. If it isn't adjusted right it wont sense the doors are closed. Odd that both would be doing the same thing. Here are the parts diagrams. This has the contact info for Hobart on it. Given the age of the unit though, you might be out of luck. It is possible that the motor was done correctly and the power issue is somewhere else. There could be an internal fuse or a power transformer that has failed/

The small wire for the magnetic bowl-shield sensor came off and I have no idea where it goes. If its not an easy fix is there any way to bypass the bowl hight sensor and the magnetic sensor?

You would need to get an electric schematic usually one is in the side cover plate.Just a note if you bypass this safety and you call say hobart service out to fix it they will not work on it if the safety has been bypassed they would have to fix the safety before they work on it.did the wire break off of the switch itself or get pulled from the inside somewere.

AM 14 C commercial dishwasher. water leaks from "spinner spouts" when unit is not in use. Any ideas?

This sounds like the inlet magnetic solenoid valve is leaking, first thing to try is to turn off the main water valve beside the machine, if the water stops coming in then the inlet water solenoid valve or valves will need to be replaced
Good luck

Random starting by itself

Does this happen all the time?Is the door closed and are they bent?If you stand in front of the unit on the right door up top is there a grey looking capsule (door magnet) is it loose?Next to it should be another capsule which has a switch inside.I would make sure these 2 capsules are tight.Let me know.I'm a hobart tech.

I have a 20 qt Hobart Mixer. The magnet that is needed to allow the unit to run, is missing. We have used a store bought horseshoe style magnet for the last year or so, but does not work now. Do you...

the magnet is in the front gaurd. I suspect you have it taped on the back. looked behind the gaurd and you will see a small nut with a threaded stud looking thing in the neck of the mixer this is a electricl switch the magnet works. maybe your magnet is not ligned up on it or the switch is bad and you need a new one. the head is held on with 4 bolts onder the head is the switch and another switch for the bowl lift. . Best solution is have your front gaurd on and sliding corretly get a new magnet for it and it will lign up. If I cam and fixed it only way I would is with gaurd magnet. Can you tell I am factory trained and been drilled by Hobart lawyers many times. LOL never bypass a Saftey
One thing if mixer does not run at all it could be many things On/oof switch, Timer, bowl lift shwitch. Gaurd switch, realy that runse it in gaurd models. so be to be sure you need me LOL kidding. Good liuck

Am model Hobart dishwasher

Yes. Most of the AM models have a magnet on the RH door, and a corrospnding reed switch on the jam. Sometimes the magnet fractures in the casing and weakens its strength. Otherwise it is likely the reed switch.

On the more recent AMs, it you open the control box and there is a green board on the inside of the door. There will be an LED to show when the door is closed. Look towards the bottom right of the board.
