Question about Dell E173FP 17" LCD Flat Panel Monitor
One day the monitor refused to start up as normal- the on/off button began flashing green every 2 seconds and the screen was black. Pressing the on/off button had no effect. I swapped the monitor to an Acer and this worked perfectly. I reconnected the Del monitor and found the same problem, so I have reconnected the Acer monitor which is working fine. Your mates have suggested a problem with the video card- but how can this be so if another monitor works ok? Do you have another suggestion?

Tips for a great answer:
My LOEWE CAL 232 will not power up. When the power button is pressed, the monitor turns on, with the LOEWE on the monitor, then the TV continues with the previous activity (antenna, DVD, VCR etc.). Now all that happens is
1. the red light comes on
2.after about 1 second the green light turns on for about 12 seconds
3. the the green light turns off for about 1 second
4. then the green light turns on again for about 12 seconds
and this continues until the power button is pressed to turn the TV off. During this time, the monitor does not turn on and the only sound I hear seems to eminate from the power button.
