Unable to find Mass Storage Controller Driver

Hey,

I am unable to find a suitable Mass Storage Controller Driver for my notebook (Compaq nx6110).

Please help...

    Hi,
    I tried windows updates as well but unable to find any appropriate driver for the mass storage controller..

    I searched on HP official web site as well for the same, download all drivers associated with my laptop (compaq nx 6110) , but there i found all drivers other then Mass Storage Controller..

    in other devices, i have MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER with yellow exclamation mark. i have sound. how and where do i find the driver for this?

Hi
if u have manufacturers driver disk then install inf and other driver again.
right click your yellow question mark then update driver put your driver disk in rom update driver yes this time only
then auto search the driver.

You can either download everest home and google the northbridge chipset for updates or download WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe from microsoft.

if you runeveresthome it will id the northbridge chipset you can then google the chip set identified.

the one that's already installed to your pc should work, try unistalling the one you got and install it again useing device mannager,let me know if that work or not

To install device you need to install device driver within cd support included of the pack, or goto www.hp.com then click the support for download driver for your device.

Mass storage problem
This could be for a USB hub, for the laptop, look at the brand and go searching the manufactures site for the drivers to USB 2.0 or maybe even USB 1.0 but most likely 2.0

Unable to find Mass Storage Controller Driver
The mass storage controller is generally for usb devices that you've plugged in. USB keys, memory cards etc.

This kinda falls under the realm of the USB drivers for your mainboard... which if they're working, you don't need to do anything. XP service pack 2 supports USB2 just fine, but service pack 1 will require you to get your manufacturers drivers to get USB2 working at full-speed.

Why do you want to change the default driver anyway??

Unable to find Mass Storage Controller Driver
try to download programs that will automatically search for the drivers through the internet.
Try one of these programs. 1. Driver Scanner 2009 -  comes with a free registration key in www.newcracks.net just type for the Product name. 2. Driver Detective - if you cant find the reg key or crack from the internet, but if you have a money. You can bought it at a low price. 3. Unknown Device Identifier - lets you identify the manufacturer of the unknown device. Then you could go to that manufacturer site and search for the driver manually. You may use google or any other search engines to keep searching for drivers.
