Use a pencil to hold the globe from the top and after it settles down remove the pencil.

if your saying the globe floats and then sticks to the top try changing the power supply. the power supply bridge rectifier circuit is failing and the in rush current then builds and makes the globe stick to the top. make sure you use the same size in volts and amps for the replacement power supply. volts need to be the same amps can be more all that does is insure the power supply is large enough to not burn itself out.

Take away the globe from the top magnet, then use your two hands to hold the globe, gradually close to the top magnet, pls note the floating distance is about 2cm, when you feel the balance, release your hands gently, finally, you succeed in floating it well. Congratulations!

Have tried all suggestions to remove globe to change bulbs.....nothing works. Help

There should be a nutcap at the bottom of the finial that holds the globe in place. If not, then three set screws around the top of the globe need to be loosened. If the finial turns as well, you should be able to unscrew it all the way out, then you will have to reattach it and use a nut to tighten it up so it doesn't turn in the future.

Lo beam headlight replacement passenger side

open the bonnet, locate a screw on top of the headlight and undo it, locate two screws between the centre grill and headlight and undo them and locate a screw right behind the headlight assembly and loosen it. Now the whole headlight should come out. It wont come all the way out. By unplugging the electrical plug you can take it out completely. Lift up the lock thats hold the rear headlight cover and that will expose the internals of the headlight and then you can change whatever globe you want. First disconnect the wiring plug from the globe and then release the clip holding the globe and replace the globe and make you sure you dont touch the glass part of the new globe which installing. Touching it will shorten the globes life and there is a chance that it might explode inside and create mess. You need to buy H7 type globe for low beam.

Can't get the globe to levitate

This system works because of magnetic attraction. One of the magnets no longer has a good charge. Magnets do have a shelf life.

CAble seems faulty-Is it a magnetic pick up? how can I test it?

The best and safest way (if you don't have a multimeter) is to use a torch battery, 3 pieces of wire and a torch globe. Attach wires to the centre terminal of the globe, & one to the globe base. Now cut the wire attached to the globe base and insert the torch battery between the cut ends. This creates a test circuit with the torch globe, & battery in series. There are now two wire ends free. To test your circuit, touch the two free wire end together. If you have done this right. the torch globe will light. To use your tester, touch one wire end to a pin on your shaver wall plug, touch the other wire to a hole in the shave end of shaver cable. If the globe does not light, try the other hole. If it still doesn't light, touch your tester wires together to test it's still working ok. Test the cable again, if no light, you have a broken power cable.
1. For this operation the razor and cable are NOT CONNECTED to the power outlet
2. Use insulated wire and solder them to the torch globe if you can, otherwise use a cheap globe holder from Tandy
