Here is what the F1C code means:

F1-C Oven door switch state not advancing to control. Check connections, harness, and motor

Phil's thoughts:------>

-If the door is not closing properly the control may shut off the operations of the oven. If the door does not make good contact with seal or feels soft the hinges would need replaced

- If the door switch is failing it could fool the control into thinking the door is open. If this is the case the door switch mechanism or the control itself would need replaced.

    Thank you for the clarification.

The fan in the back is a cooling fan operated by temperature. It will typically start when the oven temperature reaches 300 degrees F.

If this fan is coming on before the oven is hot or on all time the oven is running it is an indication that the control itself has gone bad.

With the display shutting down and not allowing you to use the oven this would confirm that the control is having trouble.

The part number for the control is 74007213 and runs about $235.00

Here is a link to the service manual for this model. Let me know if you can access it, if not I can email the manual to you.

It looks like the removal of the switch is done after the main top is taken off here is what the manual says about that. Unfortunatly I cannot find any good breakdown images that show this procedure and I cannot say that I recall doing one of these recently. I will continue to research.

    Top Burner
    1. Disconnect power before servicing.
    2. Remove screws securing burner to burner lower

    Maintop Assembly
    1. Remove power from unit.
    2. Remove range from installation position, see
    “Removing and Replacing Range” procedure.
    3. Remove burners, see “Top Burner" procedure.
    4. Remove screws from plenum area at front of opening.
    5. Open oven door and remove screws securing
maintop to oven chassis, located on the bottom of
control panel and along the outside edges of the
    6. Label and disconnect wiring.

Whirlpool oven code E2F3, and oven never gets up to the correct temp.

The thermostat in the oven itself needs replacing. Unfortunately, you'll probably need to get a professional in to do this job.

After using the grill cartridge for the first time, and then replacing it with the double burner cartridge again, now the fan goes on every time we turn those burners on. This is a grill only feature. ...

There has got to be an interlock that is actuated by inserting the grill into the cooktop. That interlock switch or sensor is probably stuck closed and still is sending the signal to the stove that the grill is being operated, not the burner cartridge. Pull the burners out, insert the grill back into the cooktop a few times feeling for interference or something not seating right. When you find the interlock or sensor, inspect it to see if it is hung up, clean it, adjust it, or tap it lightly. If the switch/sensor is operating properly, reinsert the burners, make sure the fan is turned off, and operate them, checking to see if the fan is now off. If not, there is either a faulty sensor or a fault in the signal line to the control board or in the board itself. But a hung up interlock is what I would be looking for first. Good luck.

GE Profile Gas cooktop stove- buzzer won't stop

Unfortunately you have to wait until it dries out. I have tried hairdryer before but most of the time I have had to leave it off overnight. FYI if you dont shut off at the circuit breaker and the sparking continues it will short out and definitely get worse

bibman: Sounds like the control switch or possible loose wiring. Take the element out and test the slots for voltage. You should get 220 Volts when on high.

DMA Jennair The fan motor is bad and needs to be replaced.

I suggest a new cooktop as THIS IS THE WORST DESIGNED COOKTOP I HAVE EVER USED. Not enough power, very hard to clean,
