HP Photosmart Premium c309a series smudging wedding invitation envelopes badly. I can print the invitations and everything else just fine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

when you go to print your envelope and click the print command - a window will open with the name of your printer and a box that says properties. click on properties. Change the type of envelope stock to match what you are printing on in the next window. If you are using photo paper envelope with a glossy finish, make sure that is the print media you have set for your printer. If not, the ink will just keep smudging. it's very important to match the print stock (matte, glossy, premium ect).

I go under custom paper size, put in 5/5x8.5. It won't let me save what I input. So, I can't print my invites. My printer is a HP photosmart Premium C309

On the custom page box, you must first enter a unique name for the custom size that you want to set up. eg. Invites. Once you enter the name the "save" button will be highlighted. Save the name, then fill in the custom sizes and click OK.

Your new custom size will be under Properties/Features/Size/More

I scanned and printed a wedding invitation on cotton fabric that matched the quilt I made. What can i do to make this permanent so that when the quilt is washed it will not wast away. Thank you. Virginia...

You could try some commercial stuff for impregnating fabrics, but most probably it will make the colors run right away during application.
The proper way to do it is to print on a special paper with so-called sublimation inks, and then heat-transfer it to the fabric. There are places that do this as a service, or you can try to obtain cartridges with this special ink for your printer and this special medium to print on, if you want to experiment yourself.

How to print an invite

You need special software for that, any printer can do it. If you go to a website that offers invitations, you can print from there and they tell you how to insert paper, what size etc.

Printer for Envelopments Metallic Card Stock

I recently purchased an OKI specifically for my stationery business as well (using metallic cardstock) and the company told me that no OKI printers work on metallic paper... I am STILL on the search for an invitation printer! Its frustrating to say the least....

Printer says to re-insert paper face down.

You must have the default printer settings changed to "double-sided" printingor "print on Both sides".
Check in your printer properties: 'Right click' the printer icon. Select "properties", "Printing preferences", "finishing", un-check "print on both sides" (these options vary slightly by printer model, so just check around on the different buttons).
That's my best guess. :)

Paper mismatch

Hi kingwa55,

I have an hp photosmart c4480 and was having the same problem printing wedding invitations. Same size 5.5"x8.5'. Im not sure if this will work on your printer, but this is what I had to do.

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print, properties, features, click the drop down box under sizing options.
Click more and scroll to the bottom and it should be there.

If your options are different then mine, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
