Finally finished my Ribbon Cable extemsion after alot of time and patience. It add about 15inches/380mm approx to the lenght and works fantastic. All parts were ordered from Panasonic Service Centre (who were really helpfull) and the rest was alot of hard and tedious work. If anyone needs to have more info and I have also taken a few pictures to see the end product just ask and I will send on

The part that the ipod fits into has broken how do

After speaking with a Hitachi consultant friend they said the individual dock is not sold seperately from the whole unit currently, at one point it was available but not now. She suggested a few things to try. 1. Look at online parts stores for electronics.. it may be a long time GOOGLING but she said some older suppliers may still have stock. She said the part number on the dock itself is what you need to look for not the actual AXM system number. 2. You can get a 3.5mm headset jack to RCA output cables (the red and white male ends) that would be able to plug into the input of the unit and you would plug the headset jack in the Ipod like headphones. 3. Look on ebay or other sales sites for used systems like yours that are not working or broken. You can get the extra part from them and discard the non functioning part.. or contact the seller to see about only being sent the ipod dock.

Controls start beeping with no apparent cause, often when oven is on, but even when everthing is off

control board may have received a jolt. double check the outlet to ensure proper polarity and ground. the board is prolly toast tho.
check to see if there is a seperate touch pad/membrane switch for your units control board. if so try disconnecting the ribbon cable that connects the membrane touchpad to the control board and see if your beeping returns, if not then the membrane touchpad had a short.. replace..
best of luck,

Screen won't turn on

Your ribbon cable is out of the connector when it was dropped. Open your garmin becarefull!!!! and read first the information below!!!! Flip up your antenna, at the very top you will see two screws, (These are T-5 Torx) remove them. Next be very careful when you open the top cover! The ribbon cable for the antenna comes through the bottom corner (I think it is on the right looking at the unit.) Next focus on the left bottom corner, there is a black barrel that holds the antenna to the unit and also provides the clicking steps you get when positioning the antenna. There should be a **** for a screw driver inboard about 3MM Put your screw driver there and pull to the right. Now you can lift the antenna box free. (NOT THE ENTIRE UNIT, THE RIBBON CABLE IS STILL ATTACHED.) Now at the top of the unit you will see two more T-5's under the antenna pivot area. You should be able to pry the unit open once these are removed. Still you must be careful the touch panel, speaker cable, power cable and one more cable is still attached. That one more cable you will see right away, it is red and black and you can remove it and fold the two halves over with the others still attached. After removing the final three which are all ribbon cables. Also don't forget the antenna calbe which once removed can be pulled through the half of the unit it is attached to. After seperating the halves you have the touch screen removed. You have one more phillips screw which removes the "motherboard so to speak." Hope this helps you peace. Put the ribbon cable back in the connector there is a black "lock" what proberly hold the ribbon on it's place. Lift the black lock and put the ribbon cable in the connector the same for the small one next to it.

Error code f7 on Kenmore wall oven 911.41165791

There is a probelm with the control panel. You can fix it for about a penny. The panel has a printed ribbon cable that plugs into the relay board. The ribbon cable is actually two cables pressed together, which can be seperated by simply lifting them apart. The ribbon cable has a defect in that the plasic insulation is defective, causing the leads between the two ribbons to cross, or short circuit. Simply place a thin sheet of paper between them, and make sure you push the paper down all of the way to the plastic housing, fold over the edges around the cable, you are done.

Sounds like you have a Direct Short inside the Sterring Column. If you Tilt the Wheel you should get almost the Same Result. Not an easy fix, You will have to Pull the Steering wheel and Replace the Turn Signal Unit.

Technics ribbon cable extension

You will never find those connectors, as they come with the ribbon cable, which is long discontinued. Rather than that approach, take the easy route. Just cut the ribbon in any place that you need the extension, add in your new ribbon cable, and heat shrink each and ever wire.
