On most pressure washers the nozzle is inserted into a quick connect. Simply grasp the outside of the housing holding the nozzle and pull back. The nozzle will come out. While holding the spring loaded connector back insert a new nozzle and release. In some case there is a slot and the quick connect must be orientated so the slot lines up with a pin. If the end looks like this, then it is a quick connect. Grasp it and pull back. how do you change the nozzle? We borrowed this - ecae845.png

Tv picture changes and recording is unwatchable when trying to rec one of 4 local channels

It is the signal from the 4 local stations that is the problem, because you can record all others ok. Borrow another VCR and try to record them, if its the same tell the people who run the local channels that they are losing viewing figures, because their channels cannot be recorded.

Cant remove nozzle tip from nozzle base on aleenes ultimate heated glue gun, even while hot

Here is a great blog on how to change a glue gun nozzle. But big things to remember, preheat the gun, use gloves or a wrench and be careful! If you don't preheat your glue gun, you are likely to strip the nozzle and then be unable to use it again and may even break the gun. Hope this helps!

Hi my nilfisk alto e140.1 has just cut out i have changed the fuse its not that could someone please help because i have borrowed it off a friend :( helen....

Hi Helen,

I checked the owners manual. Here are some things you can check:

The thermal sensor has shut it down. The manual says to let it cool down for 5 plus minutes, then try it again. I imagine you've tried that already, so ....

The nozzle could be partially blocked. The nozzle MUST be detached in order to clean it. Use something as long as the nozzle, like a stiff wire or needle like object, to clear it. Then flush it backwards with water.

Since the fuse blew, try the machine without the extensions hose or use a little higher rated fuse or both.

The pump/spray gun is leaking.

If none of these works, please reply back.

I hope this does work. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,
Handie Andie

Whenever we use our central vac the power cuts in and out often. It happens at all outlets. When I borrowed the neighbour's hose it did the same thing. So I assume I can rule out a short in the hose. Any...

Not necessarily. If the neighbors have the same problem, it could still be the hose. Try your hose at their place.
You can also use their hose AND power nozzle at your place. If their power nozzle works fine, then it's loose or worn wiring in your power nozzle or connection. Also, you can try your power nozzle at their place to double check.
Check your power nozzle connection for discoloring, breaks, cracks, etc. Take to a shop to check internal wiring.

Cartridge error 1203

First of all, please verify each cartridge carrier has an ink cartridge :
  1. Check to make sure the left cartridge carrier contains a black or photo ink cartridge.
  2. Check to make sure the right carrier contains a color ink cartridge.
  3. Remove each cartridge and examine it to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the contacts and the print head.
  4. Replace each cartridge in the proper carrier.
Step 2 :

Wicking the cartridges and cleaning the contacts on the back of the cartridge should be performed if the nozzle clean was performed and the quality was not satisfactory.
Wicking the Cartridge
  1. Ensure the printer is powered on.
  2. Lift the scanner unit.
  3. Open the cartridge latches and remove the cartridges from the carrier (Figure 1).

  5. Take a clean, damp cloth and wipe the nozzle of the print cartridge from front to back (Figure 2).

    Figure 2: Proper Cleaning Direction
new_note.jpg Note: Never wipe the cartridges from side to side, as this causes cross-contamination in color cartridges.
Cleaning the Contacts
  1. Turn the cartridge so that you are looking at the contacts on the back side of the cartridge (Figure 3).
  2. cartridge_back_contacts.jpg
Figure 3: Turning the Cartridge To View the Back Contacts
  3. Using a clean dry cloth, wipe the contacts in the direction shown (Figure 4), so that no dust or other contaminants are visible.
  4. new_note.jpg Note: Do not use the same cloth that was used to clean the cartridge nozzles. This may cause more contamination on the cartridge.
Figure 4: Cleaning the Contacts on the Back of the Cartridge
  5. Clean the contact inside the printer with the dry cloth used to clean the cartridge contacts.
  6. Replace the cartridges in the carrier and close the scanner unit.
  7. Print the document again.
  8. If the print quality does not improve, repeat the steps for cleaning the nozzles and contacts up to two more times as needed.

I cant figure out how to repair my turbo nozzle how do you take apart the nozzle.

Most commonly, debris gets plugged internally in the nozzle holes. Using a small pick from the outside, with the nozzle removed from the wand (it is threaded on), you can try to dislodge debris caught in the nozzle holes.

Printhead nozzles and waste station are completely clogged, a new Printhead is more than the cost of unit, then you also have replace waste pads then clean and service the unit. Makes more sense to replace the unit with a new model, then to repair.
