I have recently purchased a philips WACS7000. Having installed the drivers I have now came across the problem that my Operating System (VISTA) does not support it. After looking into this problem I have found out that I need to upgrade to WADM to v1.7. But I cant seem to find this version any where. Can you please help me with the above.

Hi, I had the same problem when upgrading to windows 8.
My solution was to load the original software on then remove it through programmes and features I believe the windows registry will still hold some of the older registry files needed for it to work. I then went to the Philips site and download the software for a later model I chose the WAC7500 system as some of the newer models require a activation code.
P.S Don't know if this might be part of the solution as well, when the original software was installed I did try to get it to work with the programme compatibility modes before uninstalling.
Hello Just unplug the device from AC mains socket and replug it after 3 minutes and see whether it helps you. If not, a firware upgrade will be necessary. The supplied PC installer CD contains Media Manager [DMM] software. it will help you to upgrade for WAC700 center. For details see DMMs' help file. Refer to the manual CONNECT YOUR PC to learn how to install the software. OK.
This is common with burned cd's they have trouble playing in different sets. Do prerecorder cd's play fine in your philips? If those are having trouble also you could improve it's playability possibly with a cleaning of the opu. Optical pick up.
I had the same issue and I couldn't find an answer anywhere. however I had a mess and found if i do the following it goes to reset and it automatically transferred to English.
1, disconnect the station and centre from the power supply ( ie switch the wall socket off)
2, press the ok button on the units, ( do these seperately unless you have 3 hands) keeping your finger on the button and switch the wall socket back on, (keep your finger on the ok button until it says resetting system (or something along those lines)
hopefully it should reset to english, please let me know how you get on
After try without success to install the cd driver and program from Philips, go to device manager and replace the device driver "Philips composite USB" (or something like that) pressing right click and the first option (update driver). Then the second option (find in this computer), then "choose from a list" and use the "Philips composite USB-Hifi device". Windows advertise that is not signed but continue anyway.
It should work, does for me.
Sorry for my english, i don´t really speak this language!
