I presume that the volume will not turn down from either the remote control or the volume buttons on the side of the tv. If the volume down button works on the side of the tv then the remote control is suspect to be faulty. If neither remote or tv volume buttons work then check whether the channel buttons work on the tv (not remote). If none of these work then check the input connection from the buttons /infra red reciver to the main pcb. This is a push on cable connector. As a point, also check that the volume up button on the tv is not stuck in, and feels the same as the other buttons when pressed.

Surely these tv buttons are touch sensitive so cannot just be stuck in, it must be either the remote control receiver or the motherboard itself! Try the factory reset(hold exit for 20 seconds and select restore) or the master reset (In standby mode use the remote hit this sequence - Info, menu, mute, power. Then scroll down to option 'reset' don't fiddle with any other settings, if it asks for a pin it will almost always be four zeros!
Anyone else using this method? Let me know if it works,

My Vizio 3D e3d320vx wont turn on !

I would say 75 percent of all lcd tvs that don't come on have faulty capacitors. The parts were under rated at time of design. It will take tv repair knowledge to fix y our TV!Capacitors are fairly cheap, but labor will cost a lot more. I have fixed 90 percent of lcds that I get to repair. The other 10 percent are not worth fixing, due to broken screens or costly circuit boards. So you will have to weigh the costs on repairing or getting another TV. Sorry, but I see no other options!

Samsung le46 lcd tv sound goes down to zero and wont stay up

Under each of the plastic buttons on the set there is a tiny push switch--the plastic button activates it---it is a momentary switch and when the button is released it should stop its function.

A lot do not--fail: vol up is worst but can be any of them. The way to prove this is get at that switch (vol down in your case) which is usually on a small circuit board---unsolder the two pins for that switch and remove it.

If problem gone you know what it was---you really do not have to replace it as the remote should duplicate all functions of these switches---in some cases the remote will not control or stop this---front controls have priority over the remote.

Autoscan without the remote

Well on the Tv itself the vol up and vol down and the channel up and down will help you do this there may even be a menu key which is a nice feature but if not try pushing both the up and down vol or the up and down channel buttons at the same time. if not that try pushing different combinations you get it don't let that electronic

Samsung tv LE32r74bdx only gives only one channel. Vere few menu are active.

Looks like the TV is in 'Shop' mode. To exit, with the TV switched on, hold the Vol down and Menu buttons on the side of the TV for 4 seconds - the screen will show 'Dynamic'. You should then have all of your functions back.
