How do i enable popups in SurgeWeb?

Hi, not sure about this app, but if it is web based, I will assume it runs on Safari. Have you enabled popups in Safari? Also, I would try with another browser like Chrome or Firefox. Make sure you are not running any 3 rd party popup blockers!
For future reference, it help us to know a bit more about your Mac, like what OS X is running and Safari version, if it is updated, etc.

It is fake antivirus on internet. Most of the internet users have got bad experience with this VISTA SECURITY 2010 POPUP. This particular virus cannot be detected with any normal antivirus software and at the end internet users are the victim of loosing important data by formatting the hard drive. This is a scam, should not be taken lightly. It will give popup on your screen like- your Vista PC has got serious infection - System infected with Trojan. Even it will give count of infected files, which is really very scary. This fake antivirus might have downloaded by clicking on infected FACEBOOK or MYSPACE ads or by downloading any software or movies or songs.

Press Crtl+Alt+delete and open task manger then click on process tab. Highlight ave.exe and click on end process

Try the following steps

Go to Start> Run. Type notepad and press enter...
While notepad will open, copy all the text on notepad.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"

Then save this notepad as fix.reg on the Desktop

*** (Remember to select All Files on save as as window while saving the notepad) ****

Double Click on fix.reg and then click YES for confirm.

Restart the computer.

S/n ptsakoy02982704b3222700 prob1 there is no sound , prob 2 there are lot of popups on ideal screen

Could be viral infection since you mention there is tons of popup meaning this is from the internet browser right? If not, it could be a failed hardware. Maybe doing a full system recovery using the acer recover disk and reinstalling your computer to factory setting may help.

Every time i go to reboot my computer a security tool notification pop up not allowing me access to reboot it how can i get pass this..

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart then
once you have your computer running try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive
hope this helps

Icon popup that say system tool when this popsup I cant use anything on my computer what do I do to get it to stop?

Your computer is infected.
Run an antivirus and then an antispyware to clean it.
Might have to go to Safe Mode to do this.
This infection is very stubborn.

When you finilly succeed, look into Pc Laptop Guard to protect your laptop from now on.

I have an older Dell 8100 that is infected, I cannot use it.

It might be really what it says, but chances are you have accidentally started a "fake virus scam" malware, that acts a bit like a virus, but with an added function of luring you into paying for some miraculous anti-virus, that will cure your computer of the multiple "infections" it has allegedly "discovered".
If you can open Internet Explorer, you may try one of the online virus scanners available. If not, the only thing left is to prepare on a clean computer a startup antivirus CD, from which you could boot your computer and run an antivirus program.

Free Online scanners:

Free boot antivirus products (CD image to burn):

Please come back with a testimonial if helped :)

Everytime I try to login to myspace, I get a popup covering my page. How do I get rid of the popups?

Sounds like you may have some sort of Malware infection on your computer.

  1. Download a program called "MalwareBytes Anti-Malware"
  2. Install and run a scan with the program, remove any found infections
This will remove most malware/adware on your computer. As a precautionary measure I would also recommend running a virus scan. If you do not have an anti-virus software on your computer, I would recommend any of the following (they are all free and effective) :

If the problem still persists after both an anti-malware and anti-virus scan I would recommend taking it to a local computer repair shop for further examination. Persistent and random pop-up ad's are the first sign of a virus/malware infection. You don't want to wait till it's too late!

Crashing taking a long time to load. popups when i close a page all page closes cannot download pictures or anything.

You have a virus that is why it is crashing and that is why the popups. You have at least one type of virus called adware. That's what the pop ups are, virus causes popups and won't clear. If you do not have any anti-virus software you can download one for free. Google AVG Free Virus and it will take you to the AVG website. Download the AVG anti-virus and run it. If its not infected too bad it will clear it up. If not then you will need to back up all of you documents, favorites and email. Wipe all the data off your hard drive and then re-install Windows. If you have any questions let me know. Please rate this solution.

I get popups regeristry

Most popups saying you have a critical problem with the registry are related to malware being present on the system. These popups also usually recommend you buy a product to fix the registry. Do not buy the product they offer.

The malware that is infecting this system can be identified and removed with Geek Squad's advanced computer diagnostic and repair service over the internet. Just go to www.geeksquad.com and click the Geek 911 Emergency help now and then select the Click to chat button.
