Your computer is infected with malicious software? Do you have popups on your PC?
If so, search this blog for removal instructions or find computer threats by category...See the step by step instructions below

Pop-ups saying machine is infected

There's a good chance that the popup itself is the infection. Do not download what it wants you to download! I recommend downloading a few free pieces of software that will hopefully help you out. If you don't have any active protection software I recommend you download Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free and it's great. Secondly Malwarebytes (Which can be downloaded from download.com [or cnet.com]) is a handy virus remover, but isn't active protection. Spybot Search and Destroy is another piece of non-active protection with a good virus / spyware remover.
Try downloading these and running them in safe mode. To get to there, restart your computer and press F8 repeatedly as it boots up, until you see a boot menu. From there navigate to safe mode using the arrow keys and enter.
If you're not particularly computer savvy however, if you do have an infection I'd recommend taking it to a professional.

S/n ptsakoy02982704b3222700 prob1 there is no sound , prob 2 there are lot of popups on ideal screen

Could be viral infection since you mention there is tons of popup meaning this is from the internet browser right? If not, it could be a failed hardware. Maybe doing a full system recovery using the acer recover disk and reinstalling your computer to factory setting may help.

Every time i go to reboot my computer a security tool notification pop up not allowing me access to reboot it how can i get pass this..

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart then
once you have your computer running try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive
hope this helps

I have an older Dell 8100 that is infected, I cannot use it.

It might be really what it says, but chances are you have accidentally started a "fake virus scam" malware, that acts a bit like a virus, but with an added function of luring you into paying for some miraculous anti-virus, that will cure your computer of the multiple "infections" it has allegedly "discovered".
If you can open Internet Explorer, you may try one of the online virus scanners available. If not, the only thing left is to prepare on a clean computer a startup antivirus CD, from which you could boot your computer and run an antivirus program.

Free Online scanners:

Free boot antivirus products (CD image to burn):

Please come back with a testimonial if helped :)

Crashing taking a long time to load. popups when i close a page all page closes cannot download pictures or anything.

You have a virus that is why it is crashing and that is why the popups. You have at least one type of virus called adware. That's what the pop ups are, virus causes popups and won't clear. If you do not have any anti-virus software you can download one for free. Google AVG Free Virus and it will take you to the AVG website. Download the AVG anti-virus and run it. If its not infected too bad it will clear it up. If not then you will need to back up all of you documents, favorites and email. Wipe all the data off your hard drive and then re-install Windows. If you have any questions let me know. Please rate this solution.

I get popups regeristry

Most popups saying you have a critical problem with the registry are related to malware being present on the system. These popups also usually recommend you buy a product to fix the registry. Do not buy the product they offer.

The malware that is infecting this system can be identified and removed with Geek Squad's advanced computer diagnostic and repair service over the internet. Just go to www.geeksquad.com and click the Geek 911 Emergency help now and then select the Click to chat button.

My computer is highly infected with viruses. I ordered Advanced Registry Optimizer, Systweak's System Optimizer. I can't down load any of these. Right now, I'm getting so many pop ups that it is hard for...

you should have ordered McAfee for that... It's protects you from everything... If not backup your files or write them on a CD/DVD. Then reinstall your computer and you'll have a clean computer then install all softwares that you need and your anti-virus, anti-popups and firewalls.

goodluck.
