Error 99 on Canon EOS350D

Cannon does not say what error codes above code 02 mean. They only suggest the costumer to make contact with the nearest Canon service centre.
But connecting a non autofocus lens from an other brand, could be something the camera can't cope with. And the most Canon (and other brand) camera's can't focus when a lens has a aperture greater than f/1: 5,6. The f/1: 6,3 or perhaps even f/1: 8 is one or two stops to much for your camera. Special when you try to use this lens in no bright places.

Are extension tubes any good?

Extension tubes will not affect the zoom range. They simply allow the lens to focus closer by moving the glass farther away from the film or image sensor. I use them for my own close-up work.

The 18-135mm will let you focus down to 0.45m for a maximum magnification of about 1:4.8. True macro is at least 1:1 (lifesize) so this lens can't really be called a macro.

If you mean the 50mm f/2.5 lens, this will let you get to 1:1.

Sigma 170-500mm f.5-5.6. fit on nikon d 200 ??? and i wild like to how good is this one 170-500mm

Sigma makes their lenses with a variety of mounts for a variety of cameras. A lens with a Canon mount, for example, will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount, it is fully compatible with the D200.

If you mean the 150-500mm, you can see a review at
http://www.popphoto.com/gear/2008/12/sigma-150-500mm-f5-63-dg-os-hsm-apo-af

In general, Sigma supertelephoto zooms have a pretty good reputation. However, only YOU can decide whether a particular lens is "good enough" for you.

Which is the difference between these two lenses: Yashica lens AF 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 Macro c Yashica lens AF 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 Do they work of different form?

I would think that the difference is in the "Macro".

Meaning the Yashica lens AF 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 Macro would be able to take close-up photos of smaller things like insects.

I hope that helps.

Will not play blueray movie

It could mean that the optic lens is going bad, but first try doing a system restore.

NOTE: A PS3 system restore will delete all data except the OS. I recommend backing up your console onto a USB flash drive if possible.

What size of filter works with this lens

If you mean the Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM lens, then it uses a 55mm filter. The lens should give the filter size somewhere near the front. You can also take a ruler and measure the diameter of the filter mount.

F EEwhen i put the camera on don`t shut

This means one of two things:-

1. You have not set the lens to it's smallest aperture before fitting it to the camera body; or...

2. The EE servo coupling post on the outer edge of the lens mounting flange on the body has broken off. This is a switch which senses when the lens is set to it's minimum aperture. Looking at the camera body, with the lens removed, it's at about the eight o' clock position on the outer edge of the body lens mounting flange.

1. is easily fixed:just fit the lens correctly. 2. Really needs a professional repair, but as you can get a used F60 (N60 in USA) for free these days (FreeCycle/Freegle) it's not worth doing: just fasten it permanently in the "activated" position. Do a bit of googling and you'll see what I mean.

I hope this has solved your problem, if so please rate my answer.

Lens age

22801413- 22 means the lens was made by Kiron. 8 is the year- 1978. 01 may mean week 1, according to Vivitar serialization scheme. Week 1 is the first week of that year. But I have two 24-48mm Series 1 lenses, and one is a 227000xx and the other is a 22800xxx, so I'm thinking that on the 24-48mm, the only info is manufacturer (the 22) and year (the digit following the 22), and that the rest are sequential serial numbers for that year's run. So yours is the 1413th 24-48mm lens made by Kiron for Vivitar in 1978. Mine are in Nikon mounts- the 227 is non-AI, while the 228 is AI. I recently took them apart to clean the aperture blades, and the internals from the blades back are completely different designs. Both are built like tanks inside, however.
