Question about Apple MacBook 13"White /2.0Ghz Intel Core2 Duo White/2GB (2x1gb)/80GB/SuperDrive (Z0DT) Mac Notebook
I was on youtube and the 100 top songs charts when i saw rainbow pixles around the letters. after 1 minuite.....my screen was all rainbow lines. i tried to restart it but it didn't work. What should i do?
I own a business called iPatch Solutions. The majority of our business is LCD replacement. There are really only 2 instances that cause this problem. In the 1st instance, the screen is just faulty and needs to replaced. It happens more often than you would think (I only own Macs and it's happened twice to me in the last year on 2 separate machines). The 2nd instance- and this would be MUCH more rare- is when the data cable (AKA video cable: this is the cable that connects the logic board to the LCD) gets pinched inside the hinge. As I said, it is more rare but it can happen over time after the laptop has been opened and closed many times. We do offer a mail-in replacement service as well as a mobile service here in Phoenix, AZ. However, the 1st step should be to check with Apple Care and see if you're still under warranty. Since the issue wasn't caused by blunt force or liquid damage, the SHOULD replace it. I say should because my customers are always telling me how increasingly tough it is to get Apple to own up to any defective equipment, They usually want to charge $700 plus for the new LCD and assume it's the consumer's error. Our service is $180 and we use the same screen and supplier so your warranty is still intact. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but praise for Apple equipment. The problem lies in getting your equipment replaced or serviced for free when it is obviously faulty. I will give you my number and email in case you have further questions. i_Patch.email@example.com 480*861*8070 Please vote if this answer helps you.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Please, watch this video which explains how to solve the white screen for your mp3 player:
1. Fully charge the unit.
2. Get a song to play.
3. Lock the device by moving the Hold/Power switch up.
4. Wait for the screen to blank to black, and also wait an ADDITIONAL 25-seconds after the screen blanks.
5. While holding the Play/Pause button down, move the Hold/Power switch out of the lock-mode, and all the way down (like you're turning it off).
6. Release the Play/Pause button.
