Question about Apogee Ensemble Sound Card
It doesnt sound like the unit is operating properly, should see the status light on solid blue.
1. are you able to identify the unit in the control panel for the unit??
2. have tried to disconnect/reconnect the unit or possibly replacing the cable?
3. tried to disconnect, and reinstall the software from the cd that came with the unit.
4. check that sample rates match in whatever devices your are using.
5. not sure what reset combinations you use but if you haven't tried do the following:
a. turn the unit off
b. press the front panel left encoder and keep pressing while powering on the unit
c. keep pressing the encoder until the unit has completed start-up,
if this does not work you may have to check with the manufacturer to see if there's something else to try or to honor any warranty you may have left.

If you haven't done this sequence, you may try and see if this works. Turn off Ensemble unit (or remove the power source if the unit is unresponsive) and remove the firewire cable connection to enter Stand-Alone Mode then reset setting to default by pressing in the front panel left encoder and then powering on the unit. Continue to press the encoder until the unit has completed its boot-up sequence.
